Great for my reactive skin
Just recently I’ve developed sensitive skin due to the delights of menopause! My facial skin is very reactive and gets sore very easily. I had to buy a whole new skincare regime to settle it. I now have 2 or 3 different sets of skincare, as it can change overnight! This cleanser is great - I was new to cleansers that don’t wash off and didn’t think my skin would feel properly clean. Perioral dermatitis relief
I had a bad case of perioral dermatitis on my face, which was bright red and full of spots. I had to take antibiotics for 6 weeks and was only allowed to wash my face with water and use a very gentle cleanser. This was the one recommended by the pharmacist. It really is great for sensitive skin and because of this, my skin looks better than before I had the dermatitis.

Repeat purchase for me. Glad to have found something that cleanses my skin and I dont react to. It can take light make up off but anything heavier then you might need to use something before this. Skins is left very soft and smooth. A bottle lasts a long while even using twice a day. Recommended!

Amazing for sensitive and reactive skin
My skin has always been combination to oily, but peri and menopause are affecting it massively - it can honestly switch overnight to sore and dry, which I've never had! It suddenly became hyper sensitive and was burning with sore patches. I was pretty desperate for some relief! My (mostly natural) usual skin care routine that had always suited my skin, suddenly aggravated it like I couldn’t believe! I developed burning skin pretty much all over my face with really sore patches just above my cheekbones. It was awful. With desperation I sought out skin care to relieve it and discovered Avène. I’ve heard of them before but I don’t think that I had used any of their products Honestly, using this cleanser along with the eye cream, moisturiser and spring water spray, settled it within a day or two. After a while I tried to switch back slowly to some of my usual products but to no avail. I have since managed to find moisturiser(s) and a sometimes-eye cream (I swap out a more anti aging one for it, when I need a soothing fix!) that don’t irritate but I continue to use the other products. This cleanser is an integral part of my daily routine now. I’ve never really used a cleanser of this type -I always wanted the ‘fresh’ feeling of using a face wash with oily skin (especially on a morning), but that definitely doesn’t suit me now! I need to keep water away from my face in my regular facial routine as much as I can. It felt odd at first, using this and just wiping it off - as if I wasn’t really cleansing properly. But honestly, it makes my skin feel just great and does not cause irritation which is HUGE for me now. I highly recommend this product and range for anyone suffering. Thank you Avène.
