The anti-dandruff shampoo effortlessly eliminates dirt and impurities from hair to reveal cleansed and healthy locks. Developed specifically for those with scalp conditions, the Therapeutic Shampoo harnesses the power of Neutar Solubilised Coal Tar extract, which offers a soothing feel to treat itchy and flaking skin, to leave the scalp comfortable.
With regular use, the shampoo helps to control and relieve the symptoms of scalp conditions, whilst leaving hair cleansed and manageable, with mirror-like shine.
Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo is a medicine. Contains Neutar™ solubilised coal tar extract for the treatment of seborrhoeic dermatitis of the scalp, scalp psoriasis and dandruff. Always read the label.

For cutaneous use only. Liberal amounts of NEUTROGENA T/GEL® Therapeutic Shampoo should be applied and massaged into the wet scalp and left for several minutes. The scalp should be rinsed, the application repeated and then the scalp rinsed thoroughly. Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic Shampoo should be used two to three times weekly for the treatment of scalp disorders. Treatment usually lasts for 6 weeks, after which time improvement should be seen. Longer periods of treatment should only take place under the supervision of a doctor. Neutrogena T/Gel Therapeutic shampoo is not recommended for use in children below 12 years of age. Do not use on inflamed or broken skin.
Active Ingredient: NeutarTM Solubilised Coal Tar Extract 20 mg/ml (equivalent to 5mg/ml Coal Tar).
Other Ingredients: Macrogol Lauryl Ether (4), Sodium Lauryl Ether Sulphate, Cocodiethanolamide, Cocamidopropyl Betaine, Imidazolidinyl Urea, Methyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E218), Propyl Parahydroxybenzoate (E216), Tetrasodium EDTA, Citric Acid Anhydrous, Perfume (Contains Esters of Benzoic Acid, Benzyl Benzoate, Butylated Hydroxytoluene (E321)), Sodium Chloride, Purified Water.

Advice: Keep it on for 10 minutes before rinsing
This is the only thing that helped me with psoriasis. I've tried numerous creams, corticosteroids etc. and nothing helped. My doctor advised Roaccutane as a last resort which was something I wanted to avoid as much as I could so I got this shampoo. Important advice: Keep it at least 10 minutes in your scalp. That's when I started to see improvements. It takes time to see skin clearing up but be persistent.

So good but smells bad
This is great for my dandruff. It clears it and makes my hair shiny. BUT the smell is not good! But to be honest you can't really smell it once your hair is dry and you've sprayed a little perfume all over! It's worth the sacrifice in my opinion. I do rate Vichy Dercos antidandruff shampoo over this purely based on smell. Otherwise, they're both great!

Buy this stuff frequently as both my partner and I have unhappy scalps. The smell is strong, but I don’t mind it and I’ve never noticed it after I’ve dried my hair. Reasonable value. Works best if you lather it in your palms before applying. Usually I do a first wash with a normal shampoo to clean, and then use this as the treatment afterwards.
