I bought this for my Mam as a gift and she's obsessed, she can't believe the instant results! Even working to reduce the look of deep-set frown lines!! will definitely be rebuying ASAP :)

On the fence

You do notice the difference… however, leaves residue almost like dried white glue and it impacts your make up finish. Completely unnecessary for most. My 82 year old nan tried it and obviously made much more of a difference so maybe worth while for more extreme cases of skin aging otherwise I would say not worth the money.

Be careful, it contains parabens

1

I so wanted to buy this, but it seems too good to be true, so I Google it and I found this. I didn't buy in the end, this review is just to warn everyone. Peter Thomas Roth Instant FirmX contains a lot of skin-firming nutrients. In looking at the key ingredients, we were pretty impressed. But there are a few issues with this formulation. For example, this product contains some harsh ingredients that may be drying for some users. Retinyl palmitate, for example, is similar to other retinols, but may play a role in accelerating the growth of tumors. This product also contains several parabens, preservatives that have been linked to conditions like breast cancer. Perhaps even more worrisome, the formula includes phenoxyethanol, another preservative given a score of 4 by the Environmental Working Group. This ingredient may irritate the skin, eyes, or lungs with use. The EWG has varying ratings for different parabens, but considers butyl and propylparabens a concern to the endocrine system, and may have some negative effects on a cellular level.

Looks unnatural.

1

Although this product does get rid of the fine lines, my skin then looked unnatural and when I smiled the creases were larger and my skin looked like plastic. It was also very hard to apply without leaving a white powdery residue. Even sometimes when I thought I'd managed it I'd check another mirror in a different light and realise that the residue was still there. I do not recommend this product at all, I think it is a complete waste of money.

Actually works!

I don’t have any wrinkles around my eyes but I do have a permanent big puffy sac under my eyes. I can have plenty of sleep and they bags are always there. It’s definitely genetics since my mum has it (and it looks more filled and heavy as she got older) and my siblings have it as well. I know there’s a cosmetic surgery procedure (blepharoplasty) which is literally cutting around the eye and removing the access fat which would get rid of those bags permanently. I am really keen on getting that surgery but seeing how things are so expensive right now I knew I had to start looking for alternatives. I decided to purchase this since it wasn’t so expensive and worth the try. I have medium brown Asian skin. I also have combination skin which is always a nightmare to find the right skincare.  So I cleanse my face and apply a thin layer using my finger. You don’t need a lot at all and I think I could probably use it everyday since it will definitely last me. My bags sorta gets “sucked in” after 5 minutes of application. Because I’m dark, my puffy eyebags disappears but replaced with a darker colour. There’s a slight unpleasant feeling at first on the skin so I think it’s very important not to use it near the eye. So the darker colour can alway be concealed using concealer but I do this maybe an hour after this product. I’ve had times where the white flake residue appears on the skin but you can remove it using a damp cotton. Personally I feel like it lasts for 5-6 hours but it gets gradually more natural looking which I find really good. That was the effect I wanted! I’ve only used it for less than a week but I’ve also noticed my original eyebag puffiness have actually decreased even when I wasn’t using it! I’ve always been skeptical with cosmetics and beauty products because they are marked up for their packaging and marketing with no visible results but this I can actually see working!

Amazing

I purchased this after seeing it in TikTok, and I’m not disappointed. You literally only need a tiny bit and my crows feet look smooth and feel tight. Obviously it’s only temporary but I do love it 😍

It works, but…..

3

I’d waited weeks on this coming back into stock. I’d seen so many amazing transformations on TikTok I knew I had to buy it. Ok, so in my experience it does what it says it should, it tightens the looser skin below (and above) the eyes. However, it also leaves a flaky white residue. I’ve tried using tiny amounts, bigger amounts, I’ve tried letting it dry naturally, I’ve flapped my hands around my eyes and I’ve stood in front of an electric fan but once it’s dry it flakes. I’ve tried using it on its own, covering it with foundation, concealer, serum, moisturiser and I still have the same results.  What am I doing wrong??  I want to like this as it works but it’s unwearable due to the white flaky residue. Help!!
