The SVR Sun Secure Water Protect SPF50 provides impressive, comprehensive protection against the sun to help ward off damage. Formulated using three filters that are completely irritant-free and safe to use on skin, the lightweight water guards against both UVB and UVA rays thanks to innovative Sun Secure Technology. What’s more, a special antioxidant mix works to prevent infrared and visible light from harming your complexion, giving you all-round protection against a range of environmental aggressors.
To ensure smooth application, the SPF50 sunscreen is created with a two-phase texture, making for a fresh finish that feels light and looks completely invisible on skin. It has a 40% aqueous phase that gives the water its fluid, easily-absorbed properties while the 60% oily phase hosts the bulk of the filters. Despite the oilier part of the sun water, the sun protection fluid won’t look greasy or feel heavy.
The sun protection water can safely be used in the sea as it’s highly water-resistant and completely biodegradable in line with OECD 301F tests without being toxic to algae or aquatic invertebrates. This helps towards the maintenance of coral and the environment. With a bottle made of 25% recycled plastic, the product is thoroughly planet-friendly.

Before use: shake the bottle vigorously for at least 5 seconds. Head up, head down, the important thing is that the 2 phases are perfectly mixed and that the whole bottle is orange! Without mixing, without a homogeneous phase, you will not be protected. Why not? The filters are in the oily phase.
Once well mixed, apply generously and evenly before exposure. Reapply frequently to maintain protection, especially after perspiring, swimming or wiping. Before each re-application remember to shake vigorously again. Spray on hands before applying to face.

Fantastic. Contains latest generation of UV filters.
This fantastic sunscreen contains the latest generation of UV filters, which means this sunscreen will not sting and burn your eyes or skin (like old generation UV filters would.) Old sunscreen UV filters, like Avobenzone (Butyl Methoxydibenzoylmethane), Octinoxate, Octocrylene and Homosalate really hurt my eyes when I sweat, but this fantastic spray contains: DIETHYLAMINO HYDROXYBENZOYL HEXYL BENZOATE, BIS-ETHYLHEXYLOXYPHENOL METHOXYPHENYL TRIAZINE and ETHYLHEXYL TRIAZONE as it's filters. These are modern, new sunscreen filters that are very photostable (meaning they won't degrade as quickly in sunlight) and they are also cosmetically elegant (do not cause the skin to look white and chalky) and most importantly, they do not irritate the eyes or skin. Unfortunately for America, these sunscreen ingredients are yet to be approved by their very slow moving and inefficient approvals process, but for those of us in the rest of the world, including Europe and Asia, we are extremely lucky to have these ingredients and I am very, very glad that SVR have chosen to use them in their new formulas. Especially for people who have sensitive skin and eyes, but who need to protect their skin from skin cancers and ageing, modern products like this are so valuable. Thank you SVR for using the latest sunscreen filters and not the cheap old-fashioned ones that sting the eyes, irritate the skin. Especially for those of us who have dark skin, these latest generation sunscreens are a miracle because they don't make us look white, chalky and rediculous. 5 Stars to Look Fantastic for stocking this and 5 stars to SVR for taking the lead and creating a really great spray. Other benfits of this spray are: It does not contain the types of alcohol that can dry the skin. So many sunscreens utilise drying alcohol as a solvent for disolving the sunscreen filters into. This sunscreen uses other ingredients instead. This means there is no unpleasant cooling/prickly sensation and it's excellent for those who have dry skin too. The product contains absolutely no unnecessary, gimmicky ingredients either. It's very easy to apply and reapply, feels very nourishing on the skin and is an absolute joy to use.
