Masturbators

What exactly is a masturbator?

A masturbator is essentially a sleeve that you put the penis into for masturbation, it replicates the feeling of penetration, and offers different stimulation to hand stimulation.

How does an egg work?

An egg is made of a very stretchy material which is worn over the penis with lubricant applied on the inside (think a bit like the shape on a condom but a much thicker and stretchier texture). This can create different sensations for masturbation and hand stimulation, either for solo or partnered play. They come in an egg shape which makes them ideal for travel and convenience as they discreet and take up very little room.

Should you opt for a manual flashlight or a vibrating masturbator?

It is completely preference dependent; both offer different experiences. For a sensation which is more similar and replicates penetrative sex, a manual masturbator is more likely to offer you that. You can even use them with different attachments (e.g. the shower wall) so that they can be used hands free. A vibrating massager will offer you sensations which are more difficult to achieve without a sex toy.

How does it compare to the real thing?

It's not necessarily about comparing it to 'the real thing', but more about changing and mixing up your solo play and pleasure. Many male masturbators can create a similar physical sensation to penetrative sex with a female partner. As they are made of silicone, you can use lubricant that can become warmed to simulate body temperature. But the reality is that a sex toy can help fill the gap whilst you are not having partnered sex physically, but partnered sex is always going to going to be a different sexual experience.
