With each fashion week comes another opportunity to marvel at the divine, bright makeup looks created by some of the most talented makeup artists in the world.

The SS18 shows were no exception. From perfect, glossy skin to graphic eyeliner, each show look provided us with a little insight to the looks we will be recreating or taking influence from as we move into spring and summer.

Feeling blue

Blue eyeshadow may remind you of makeup faux-pas of the past but a modern, fresh take on the blue hue has dominated the SS18 catwalks. Don't worry about blending, bold, graphic shapes are the way to wear your colbalt shashows.

Be bold with your colours and opt for a richly-pigmented blue in a graphic shape on your eyes. The Illamasqua Pure Pigment in Alluvium is perfect for creating a truly eye-catching, on trend look.

Combine Alluvium Pigment with the Illamasqua Sealing Gel to create a deep blue paste-like texture. Use your fingers to sweep the colour over your lid in one strong motion for the graphic, bold shape seen on the Marni and Chanel catwalks.

For a sheer, day appropriate take on the look, apply the NARS Cosmetics Velvet Shadow Stick in Grande-Large all over the eye and follow with lashings of mascara.

Glitter girl

Glitter isn't just for Christmas. Delicate, chic glitter details were a key feature of many of the beauty looks created for the SS18 catwalks. Intense glitter eyes were swapped for precisely placed, glitter lines and dazzling lips.

Delicate, fine-lined glitter adorned the eyes of the Anna Sui SS18 models. Created by makeup artist Pat McGrath, the look was the epitome of understated, disco glam. Use the Urban Decay Heavy Metals Eyeliner in Distortion to create a vertical line from your lid to your under eye to recreate this beautiful look.

For a fresh, modern take on the glitter lips trend, as seen at the Shrimps show, randomly place hints of glitter over your lips. Take the NYX Glitter in Ice along with their Glitter Primer to create an eye catching, disco-ready look.

Flushing pink

Ultra-feminine blushing pink cheeks were a staple at many of the ss18 shows. From rosy hues to hot fuchsias, expect pretty pink makeup to be a major trend this upcoming spring summer.

Valentino's bold take on the blush 'draping' technique saw a red-toned fuchsia blush taken over the eyes as a shadow and onto the cheeks for an overtly flushed finish. Recreate this statement look using the NARS Cosmetics Blush in Angelika with a tapered face brush such as the Real Techniques Bold Metals Tapered Blush Brush for a bold flushed look which scultps the face. If you prefer a cream blush, opt for the Illamasqua Cream Blusher in Laid.

For a more wearable take on this season's love of pink, use a more sheer, natural hue such as the Daniel Sandler Watercolour Fluid Blusher in So Pretty.

Graphic liner

Daring, bold liner was the statement look of choice for many designers. From exaggerated cat eyes to creative fine line designs, eyeliner is forecast to be your go-to makeup item this spring summer.

Create a bold, exaggerated cat eye as worn in the Marc Jacobs SS18 show with the Lord & Berry Perfecto Felt Tip Liner in Black Wardrobe. The thick, pitch-black liner creates a bold line which can be drawn on top and underneath the eyes for a statement cat eye. For a more matte finish, apply the Hight Definition Kajal Liner in Intense Black over the top and smoke out.

For a more defined, creative eye look inspired by the Rochas SS18 catwalk, apply the Stila Got Inked Cushion Eye Liner with an angled brush to create interesting, graphic lines around the eyes.
