Best of the ADG line

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

If ADG EDT smells like a sea breeze, ADG Profondo EDP smells of the ocean. The ADG DNA is clear, but green notes are turned down in favour of more emphasis on amber and salty aquatic notes. This is a softer, darker and richer fragrance than I would normally associate with a spring/summer scent (largely due to the prominence of the amber/ambroxan), but it still exudes out of the shower freshness and it really is at its best in a hot day. This is a bit of an ambroxan bomb, so has more in common with dark blue fragrances (e.g. Sauvage, Dylan Blue, Y & Bleu de Chanel) than standard summer's day blue fragrances, but with the salty aquatic notes of lighter blue scents thrown into the mix. This will be staying in my summer rotation, but to get 5 stars it would either need to be slightly brighter and more vibrant, or to have more richness and complexity in the dry down (e.g. sharper citrus like D&G Light Blue or the sage/incense notes of ADG Profumo/Parfum...but I prefer this to both).
