This luxurious healing cream has been praised throughout the years by beauty editors, make-up artists and models alike. Created in 1930 to soothe skin, Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant became an instant and overwhelming success.
The combination of petrolatum, a skin-soothing beta-hydroxy in one of its first cosmetic uses, and vitamin E make this apricot coloured balm effective and beneficial for those emergency skin moments. Miss Arden also famously used it to soothe her thoroughbred horses' legs!
Directions of use:
- Warm a small amount of the balm in your hands and massage over face for an instant ‘sleep in a tube’ effect. Use sparingly.
- Apply topically to minor skin irritations including blemishes
- Use to treat extremely dry skin conditions on the face or body
- Massage into elbows, knees, nails and feet for an overnight healing effect.
- Application: Simply apply to hands, feet and everything in-between for long lasting hydration.

Classic which never dates
I have very dry skin so use this nightly on top of serum and moisturiser. Also good as a lip gloss and highlighting gloss as well as on chapped elbows etc. Very economical too.

Brilliant product
This is one of the best creams I have ever used. Originally given to me by a friend who suffered from bed sores, I used it and it cleared up a problem I had at that time. Amazing product
I love this product. I use it all over my face and lips and leave it on overnight. When I wake up my skin is so soft and bright. When I get a spot it tends to go all dry and looks very obvious but sleeping with this on for just one night makes it go away. The smell isn't great but I'd say the benefits of using it out way that. Love it overall would 100% recommend!

Eight hour cream
I'm 64 years old and have never used this range of products before. The eight hour cream is proving very useful and effective for smoothing fine lines, heartening brows and lips and soothing areas of soreness, I am amazed at how it soothes the areas of eczema that I have and so now I have to use medicated cream less. Very pleased.

Excellent
By far the best product for lips. It has a thick consistency but absorbs well. I have use other brands of lip products but I live this the most. It could be apply overnight with a thick layer or during daytime and before lipstick. I think it will be good for applying on dry patches, and even for dry skin. This is a fragrant version and it also have the fragrance free version. The smell original version is not that pleasant, I wonder how bad could the fragrance free version smells.

this product is more like a lip beam. too thick for on the normal skin but will be amazing for healing or very dry skin. it turn out to be a really big size of lipstick for me.

Fantastic product
Love this product! It is a great multi-purpose product which is intensely moisturising and healing (like no other product I have come across on the market). Interestingly, it is also good on oily acne skins (my skin type for the last few years). I am now using this product on: - eye area - cuticles - nails - feet - hands - spots - sensitised areas of skin - also tried it on my hair and scalp Would highly recommend it! Best to use at night, or during the day for emergency attention to the skin etc.
