The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Great product
nice size bottle, nice packaging. smell is good and not overpowering. foams up well and feels good on the skin. after washing off my face feels nice and soft. noticed a big improvement with the current spots i had and noticed it kept them either at bay or they didn't last long. would defiantly add this to my skin care routine #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Better for more oily skin
This product is ok. It foams up a little and does the job. It doesn’t have a smell which isn’t my preference. Also, I found the product a little drying. Might be better for very oily skin types. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Good, but../.
The face wash is nice and thick in consistency, which turns into lively foam. Personally, I don’t like fragrance free option but it is not the end of the world. After using it for over two weeks, every day, I am not 100% sure that it does help with spots. It definitely regulates sebum and my face wasn’t as oily as usual. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Just OK
I found this product just OK, it didn't foam up very much when rubbed in the hands or on the face. It cleaned my skin well but it did feel a little dry after and I have combination skin. Not really much of a scent which was fine. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Neutrogena clear and defend face wash
I used this product each morning before applying moisturiser. I felt that the product was good at cleaning my skin and removing any impurities from the night, however I did find it a little harsh on my skin. I noticed over time by skin was becoming quite dry. Overall happy with this product but wouldn’t recommend to anyone with dry skin. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Effective but a bit drying
I have quite bad adult acne, including a lot of acne scars. I get a mixture of surface acne and cystic acne. The point is, I've tried a lot of acne products. I quite liked this face wash -- it lathers up nicely and leaves my skin feeling clean and not tight/dry. I noticed that after a few uses, I did notice some flakiness/dryness around my eyes especially. But -- I do think it's been effective in helping to control breakouts. This face wash is amazing, it honestly left my face glowing, it felt so clean and didn't irritate it or break my skin out, I can't recommend this enough!! Also With this products, I have less breakouts and acne scars. It reduces the size of a breakout and clears it in 2 days max! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Iv had this product for three weeks now and I'm very impressed with it. I was having a bad time with Whiteheads and black heads and even oiliness but using this product all that settled within a week! But be sure to use a good moisturiser that compliments it after as it does tighten and dry the skin slightly. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Not Great
Unfortunately I had a really bad reaction to this product. Within 3 days of using it I broke out it tiny spots all over my face which then dried and cracked. I stopped using it immediately. I wouldn't recommend this product. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
