Worth every penny
I can't live without this duo! I have greasy roots and dry ends, and this combo meets both demands so so well. Both have a clean, pleasant scent. The shampoo lathers up really well, and you only need to use a small amount. The conditioner is very thick and moisturising, it almost feels like you're giving yourself a hair mask. My hair is super soft afterwards

Decided in my lack of wisdom to have highlights. The bleaching ruined my hair, as they had over processed it. It was dry and frizzy. Tried all kinds of home remedies with no success. Decided to try Olaplex by recommendation. Purchased No 0, No 3, 4 and 5. I've used it once so far and my hair has changed so much, I'm shocked. Very rare to discover what is claimed is actually true. Would highly recommend. Looking forward to my next wash. Expensive but well worth it.

Olaplex shampoo
Forgot to add, I used this every wash for a few months as my hair was very damaged. However, after a few c months when my hair had improved, I alternated between olaplex and another hair care brand. Your hair needs a break when using the same hair care product all the time so it can still get all the benefits. I currently wash my hair with olaplex and then the next wash use a different brand that has no silicones in and switch between the two and this works for me. I think you may experience dryness if you only use olaplex as your only healthcare product as your hair needs a break. But this is just my personal experience and what worked for me. I’ve also seen a few comments about dryness, so like I said, make sure to switch between the products and you won’t experience dryness. Also, make sure the second hair care product you use is also good quality. Seen a few people saying that olaplex is making their hair dry but they don’t alternate and give their a hair a break from it or the second product they use is poor quality, which obviously is not at fault of olaplex. I found products that are silicone free to be the best or products that are good for removing build up on scalp as build up can cause dryness. Also using oils helps with dryness too. But it does take time finding what works for you as everyone is different.

Olaplex shampoo
Absolutely love this shampoo. For context, I wash my hair once a week, twice sometimes if I have plans and I still have my bottle from 6 months ago. It genuinely lasts me such a long time, which is how I justify paying the price. I am a few months into my hair journey and have noticed how much healthier my hair is from olaplex, my hair looks and feels so soft after I use olaplex. I highly recommend the shampoo, but also the conditioner that goes with it. My hair care routine is no3 leave in for hours, shampoo, conditioner or no8 (only on mid to bottom to hair) and I find that routine has been amazing for my hair - I also wash my hair with cold water and this routine has left my hair feeling amazing. I also have quite an oily scalp which has annoyed me for years as I often notice my hair is greasy again literally the next day, however with olaplex my scalp is not as oily and takes longer to get greasier. Will not lie and say it’s not expensive, however these bottles last me months and months and would rather pay more on good qualify products than spend less on store products. If you are looking to buy this product I would say that only invest if you are able to ideally get the conditioner or no8 to go with it as I feel they work best together. The no3 is my favourite from the range without a doubt. Also, a “downside” to this, I would say that if you are wanting to purchase olaplex that you commit to it. Before I would use store products, just shampoo and conditioner, no other oils etc and would leave it on for a minute or two before washing out. But with olaplex the products work better the longer you leave them on, particularly with no3, no8 and no5. So I would say using olaplex is a commitment, finding time to allow the products to sit in your hair. I normally put mine on and carry on with what I need to do that day with a cap on my head. Using good hair products and improving your hair is a commitment and does take time. Also, a mistake I made for a while was not lathering the shampoo up enough. I recommend getting hands wet, putting a small amount on and then lathering it up for a good 10 seconds to get maximum effect. I would really say it has a strong smell however, but leaves hair so soft and I always apply the oil after which leaves my hair smelling nice anyway.

Waste of money
Would never buy again, did lots of research and decided to invest, got no 3 4 5 and 6. Hairs never felt so dry and tangly. No shine, would 100% recommend cheaper brands!

First time using these after being an advocate for Olaplex no 3 ….. absolutely love them. Seems expensive, but a little really does go a long way. My hair has honestly never felt or looked as good. Will definitely be using this forever. Also indulged in no 6, 7 & 8. An absolute game changer.

Can’t fault lookfantastic for service and shipping, couldn’t believe how quick it was delivered! I toyed with the decision of buying these products as they are so expensive but having damaged hair due to colouring etc I bit the bullet and bought them along with no6 and 7. at first I thought what a dream team! My hair looked an felt amazing even in between washing, there was absolutely no need for dry shampoo (I wash my hair 1-2 per week) however as time went on I found my hair was grotty, dry, brittle and snappy! After discussing this with my hairdresser I was advised to stop using 4 and 5 immediately as it’s producing too much protein in my hair causing the breakage 😱 feel a bit like I’ve flushed my money away now haha! I have quite a few friends who swear by olaplex and it’s really worked it’s magic for them, just wish it was the same for me. So buyers be aware that it might not work the same way on your hair as it does for others. I’m absolutely gutted this didn’t work out for me
