I feel like glass-like skin is all around us; I see it all over social media. But what actually is it? When we talk about glass-like skin, we refer to the skin being really smooth, even-toned, and radiant, providing that really glowy, dewy finish that looks like glass. Many factors contribute to glass-like skin, with some main ones including hydration to help plump the skin, giving that smooth finish, and exfoliation to remove dead skin cells and reveal smoother skin underneath. Removing dead skin cells allows light to reflect evenly, giving the appearance of radiant and glowy skin. Cosmetic products like oils or rich creams can also provide a glowy, dewy finish. Ingredients that help achieve glass-like skin include niacinamide, which targets uneven skin tone, reduces excess shine, and supports the skin barrier while hydrating the skin. Hyaluronic acids are excellent for hydrating and plumping, as they help retain water in the skin. Exfoliators like lactic and glycolic acids help remove dead skin cells, providing a more radiant and even appearance. Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion. The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture.
The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to minimise the risk of inflammation and sensitivity, often associated with acid use. Topped with hyaluronic acid, the serum supports the skin's ability to attract and retain moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. Good for evening routine
This product feels really light and not harsh on my skin. I’ve really enjoyed adding it into my evening routine and seen some results already on a morning. My skin looks a lot fresher and clearer which is great for such a low price

Good serum
Along with other serums this one is great for controlling a breakout i find. Worth testing a few different ordinary serums as they are all different strengths. Probably not strong enough for larger acne breakouts

Smoothing
First time using this and noticed a bit of a stinging sensation after applying. However after a few days of using in the evening only my skin does feels smoother. I’ve been using instead of my usual night cream (wasn’t sure the two were compatible to use together) and it hasn’t dried my skin out.
