All about beauty’s hottest new ingredient: Matrixyl

Gaining significant coverage in the press recently is the ingredient Matrixyl, and its supercharged sister, Matrixyl 3000. If you haven't yet heard of these ingredients already, they're essentially warriers against ageing, and help to keep the skin plumped-up, firm and youthful.

What is Matrixyl?

Matrixyl is considered to be perhaps one of, if not the most effective anti-ageing ingredient on the market.

Otherwise known as the Oligo peptide, it contains an active ingredient known as Palmitoyl Pentapeptide which helps to stimulate new collagen growth, hyaluronic acid and elastin, all of which are important in fighting against fine lines and wrinkles.

What is Matrixyl 3000?

Specially designed to do the same job as Matrixyl, Matrixyl 3000 also inhibits the damage caused by glycation, (the effects of sugar on the skin) and even helps to reverse any exisiting effects.

The large amount of glucose and fructose in our diets today from fruits and fast foods can cause huge damage to our skin without us realising, which is what makes Matrixyl 3000 so important to include in our skincare routines.
