Bloody French tips

Halloween nails. French manicure with red bloody tips
@stephie_nails

This creepy take on the classic French mani is the certified cool-girl style this Halloween. Who said scary nails can't be chic?

How to get the look

Step one: Apply a nude base coat to the lengths of your nails and wait until dry.

Step two: Taking a thin brush, dip into a vibrant red polish and carefully begin by outlining the tips of your nails.

Step three: Using the brush, create your drips of blood - you can do as many or as little as you like.

Step four: Finish with a clear top coat and your gory design is complete!

Stephanie's top tip

Use cuticle oil twice daily. A small dot rubbed all over the nail, cuticle, sides of nail will help nails grow healthy and keep polish on longer.

Ghoulish ghosts

@stephie_nails

There's something quite adorable about this spooky little design, making it ideal for those who prefer to go down the cute route for their Halloween costume.

How to get the look

Step one: Start off by applying a nude base coat to you nails and allow to dry.

Step two: Taking a white shade, draw a small, rounded shape near the tip of each nail.

Step three: Using a thin brush and black nail polish, draw two eyes and a mouth on your spectres.

Step four: Prevent your cutie ghosts from chipping with a clear top coat.

Stephanie's top tip

 Hold your hands in a bowl of cold water for a minute to make your polish dry quicker!

Pumpkin spiced tips

Halloween nails. Yellow and silver design
@prettylittleyoustamford

For those who want a more wearable Halloween design, this ode to the autumnal pumpkin is the perfect look for spooky season.

How to get the look

Step one: Coat your nails in a matte nude polish and wait to dry.

Step two: Taking and yellow or orange shade, use a thin brush to draw a curved line at the side of each nail and fill in.

Step three: Use a silver polish to draw a thin line around the shape you just made on each nail.

Step four: Finish with a top coat and you're ready to grab your Starbucks pumpkin spiced latte!

Chloe's top tip

Your manicure will last much longer if you prep the nail properly by pushing your cuticles back and buffing the nail plate to give the polish something to grip too.

Bump in the night

Halloween nails. Starry night sky design
@prettylittleyoustamford

Another cute but on brand design, this manicure would be the ideal addition to your sexy cat woman, witch, or fortune teller costume!

How to get the look

Step one: Apply a nude base coat and leave to dry.

Step two: Taking a black polish and a thin brush, outline the tips of your nails with small, curved lines and fill in.

Step three: Dot on your starry sky using a white polish.

Step four: Drag a toothpick or a clean, thin brush, along each dot in a cross formation to create the shining stars.

Step five: Finish with a coat of strong, clear varnish.

Chloe's top tip

Get regular manis to stop your nails breaking. If you have brittle nails, a builder gel will also keep them protected.

As someone with an affinity for all things beauty, discovering fantastic new products is my not-so-secret obsession. Over the years I've tried and tested a mountains worth of creams, serums and cleansers, finding some of my favourite 'holy-grail' products along the way. However, I'm always on the lookout for more ways to nourish my hair, perfect my dewy base, or enhance my skincare routine. Working as a beauty blogger for over 3 years, I've been lucky enough to collaborate personally with lots of amazing beauty brands including Christian Dior, The Body Shop and Dermalogica. I've used the Dermalogica special cleansing gel religiously since I first got it and their products are some of my ultimate skincare faves. When it comes to cosmetics, NARS Sheer Glow foundation is definitely my go-to - I live for a light, glowy base!
