The Cetaphil Gentle Exfoliating Salicylic Cleanser sweeps away daily build-up, while visibly refining skin for a polished canvas.
Formulated with a refined triple-acid blend of salicylic, mandelic and gluconolactone, the formula gently exfoliates to help reduce the appearance of texture and uneven tone. Unlike gritty scrubs, the gel-foam texture feels refreshing rather than stripping and is laced with niacinamide, panthenol and glycerin to hydrate and lock in moisture. Gentle enough for daily use and suitable for sensitive types, the cleanser leaves your complexion soft and glowing.
- Application: Lather cleanser with a small amount of water and use all over as a face wash and/or body wash to visibly improve skin texture and tone. Rinse thoroughly.
- Routine: For best results, follow with Cetaphil Salicylic Acid Moisturising Lotion.

Some small improvement
I liked this Cetaphil face wash, but I’m still not fully decided. I have PCOS and adult-onset acne (started at 26, I’m now 33), and recently realised I had a damaged skin barrier which worsens and complicates my acne. I’ve only used this face wash & a skin barrier repair moisturiser twice a day, and a gentle face SPF50 a couple of times during the recent heatwave. Some noticeable improvements: - Fewer deep & scarring, under-the-skin jawline spots - Nose less oily, with only 1–2 small comedones during the trial (previously had frequent new ones) - Fewer blackheads on cheeks and jawline It leaves my skin feeling gently exfoliated without harsh tools or peels, and I feel my skin barrier is continuing to heal. Despite my high hopes, I’ve still developed new pimples on my cheeks and chin which is disappointing. Really good for oily skin
The product is really good for oily skin, as it cleans the surface perfectly well and keeps it like that for a long while. However, for sensitive or dry skin, I would only recommend using it once a day, as the skin tends to be slightly tense after the wash. The product helped reduce the problem of clogging pores, even while hot summer days, where sebum production is hard or almost impossible to control. I could also see a dramatic reduction of blackheads development, while whiteheads are slowly disappearing day by day. I normally need to exfoliate my face once a week, but during the usage of this cleanser, I had no need to do that at all. What is also worth mentioning is that you only need a small amount of liquid per wash, it lathers up nicely, so the bottle will last a really long time.

Great
Amazing product. Helps with skin barrier. Skin feels clean and fresh aslo very smooth. Its a great product for people like me with combination skin as its help to clean the pores but at same time its not drying out the skin

Helps reduce breakouts
I enjoyed using this face wash, which both cleansed and exfoliated my skin helping reduce breakouts. It lathers up well and is easy to apply, and is safe enough to use everyday. I also use it on my body to reduce the look of keratosis pilaris and exfoliate rough skin.

My favourite consistency for a face cleanser, foams beautifully and feels super fluffy and light. After using the cleanser for 2 weeks morning and night my skin tone looks so much more even and brighter. Fully recommend

Great for bumpy skin
I enjoyed using this product- my skin is on the dry/sensitive side but I was able to use this as a daily cleanser with no irritation or dryness. I am prone to spots and rough skin and I have definitely seen a difference to the bumpiness of my skin. It's reasonably priced and I would purchase this again.

easy to use
A gel like cleanser for oily and acne prone skin. My skin is combination with some pigmentation. I found this too strong. My skin was dry and tight after using. I also have some small breakouts after using it too. The lather is good and a little goes a long way. #HomeTesterClub

Great Cleanser
I’m always cautious of products with exfoliating properties as they can cause irritation if too strong, but this cleanser is gentle and effective. No irritation caused at all! You only need half a pump for your face too which means it will last ages! I received a sample of this product via #hometesterclub

Good product and gentle but…
I had high hopes for the Cetaphil Exfoliating Cleanser, but overall it didn’t impress me. I didn’t really notice much improvement in my skin’s texture or clarity, and the scent was a bit strange — not exactly pleasant. That said, I did like how gentle it felt on my skin, especially on my legs, which looked smoother and healthier after using it. If you’re looking for something mild and non-irritating, it’s decent — just don’t expect dramatic results.

Great
This product was great. I think my experience was okay with this cleanser. My main issue was my skin creating hormonal spots. After 2 weeks I feel like I could give a better review. I like the bottle, the way the product fits easily into my current line of product and the way it made my none acne parts feel. My review may change after using it for longer. I would recommend people try it and see if it suits their skin. Great.
