Restore gloss and shine to blonde hair with Kérastase Blond Absolu Bain Ultra Violet Shampoo, a deeply nourishing treatment that boosts luminosity.
The purple shampoo works to deliver lasting protection against brassy and yellow tones, while defending against pollution and other external aggressors to maintain a natural-looking shine. Hyaluronic acid and edelweiss flower work in harmony to melt away dirt and excess oil and replenish hydration, leading to a silky-soft and vibrant head of hair.
- Application: Wet hair then thoroughly remove excess water before applying a quarter-sized amount of shampoo touch by touch onto 5 key zones of the hair. Add water and emulsify. Leave it on between 2 to 5 minutes. Rinse thoroughly.
- Routine: We recommend you alternate with Bain Lumière on a weekly or as a second shampoo for a deeper & hydrating cleanse.

Surprisingly good
I didn't expect this to be as purple as it was and I was worried it wouldn't clean my hair very well as it isn't a traditional foamy texture. I needn't have worried though, it cleaned my hair beautifully and I did notice my blonde highlights looking subtly brighter.

Gleaming blonde
This shampoo when used with the Blond Absolu Cicaflash Conditioner left my hair in great condition. My dyed blonde hair had a great sheen and no sign of any brassiness. The colour of the shampoo is very vivid and you do need more than most Kerastase products for a lather but overall wonderful results.

Does its job
A vividly purple shampoo that I use in place of my other Kerastase shampoo once a week. It leaves hair super clean and noticeably brighter. Doesn’t smell as nice as other Kerastase shampoos - it feels more like a necessary clinical product. My natural colour is brunette but I’m increasingly lightening it to disguise grey - this product keeps my desired ash blonde highlights from becoming brassy. I would advise care if you have a bright white bathroom - turned my nails slightly purple!

Purple shampoo, great effect
I’ve never used a purple shampoo before and was always a bit skeptical that how much difference can a shampoo make to the colour of coloured hair. Apparently a lot!!! It really reduced the brassiness of my hair colour and brightened the colour so well. I feel this will really prolong and improve the condition and colour of my hair between hairdresser visits! When used with the conditioner I’ve felt such an improvement in the condition and colour of my hair. Love this!

Best purple shampoo I’ve tried
I’ve used this shampoo once a week for 3 weeks alongside my other kerastase products & am impressed. It neutralises the brassy tones in my tinted & highlighted blonde hair without drying it out which other purple shampoos I’ve tried have. I also liked the fragrance - again, rare for purple shampoo!

Very Effective
I received the shampoo two weeks ago and have used it 3 times . I had my hair coloured at the hairdressers five days before I used it for the first time . I was surprised by the deep colour but found it to be a lovely shampoo to use . It lathers well and my hair feels clean after use . As you can see from the photos there has been very little loss of colour in my hair. My hair is dyed dark blonde but as it has a tendency to grab colour it looks darker when first coloured , this normally goes lighter very quickly and has a yellow tinge . It hasn’t happened since using this product so I am very pleased. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone who has the same problem .

Cannot fault this shampoo!
I have had bleached blonde hair for 20 years, in those 20 years I have used countless purple, blonde specific shampoos & conditioners. I can honestly say, this one stands out as one of the absolute best! Firstly you will notice a beautiful and unique smell, like lavender and citrus. Secondly the deep, vibrant violet colour that you know from experience will stain your cuticles and the grout in your shower for a day or two. Only, it doesn’t! The shampoo lathers very well, so you don’t need a lot, I have very long thick hair and I used about a 2 cm diameter amount. If you have very brassy hair, I would suggest leaving the shampoo in for a minute or two, this is not necessary though. When you’re washed and dried, your hair has an amazing fragrance and a beautiful cool colour left behind, it truly does lift the brassiness and golden tones from your hair. I have been on holiday for two weeks, everyday in a chlorinated pool or at the beach & using this shampoo once a week has kept it from going brassy, or the dreaded green colour from the pool! I wholeheartedly encourage bleached blonde men and women everywhere to use this shampoo!

Slight difference in hair colour
I love kerastase products and usually use the chronologiste shampoo and mask so was delighted to try the Blond Absolu . I have given this 3 stars as the shine on my hair and the softness was lovely but minus 2 stars as i hardly noticed any difference in the colour of my hair. I don’t know wether this is due to having a dirty blonde balayage and maybe you have to have a white bleach blonde to notice a difference? So even though this was a lovely creamy shampoo and left my hair shiny, soft and smelling nice it didn’t alter my hair colour so would prefer to use a different product from the range.

Incredible
This shampoo is really incredible. It helps colour stay radiant for longer. It really does restore your hairs colour. This shampoo prevents fading. It smells beautiful and really does make a difference to coloured hair. Combined with the conditioner it really does work wonders.

Gorgeous shampoo
This shampoo is amazing! I have blonde highlights and this shampoo has brightened the colour without looking brassy. My hair felt soft and smooth once I’d dried it. Will definitely purchase this shampoo on a regular basis.
