The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Good for treating and drying acnes

It’s okayy

Does the job

Clear Skin!
Used this twice a week which cleared my skin and prevented any breakouts. After a few uses, my skin did feel dry however this went back to normal 2-3 weeks after the first use. The product is not hugely scented and a little bit goes a long way so it is good value for money. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Good face wash

worked as intended!
After using the face wash for 3 weeks I would say it is over all good! The first week I noticed my skin was really dry but using a heavy moisturiser at night helped. My skin has definitely become clearer in completion. I will continue using and would definitely recommend to someone who hasn’t got sensitive skin!! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Left my skin feeling awful
I'm sure this is great for some people, but this made my skin feel like sandpaper! I don't have sensitive skin and swapped this product out for my usual face wash, and had rough and bumpy skin for around a week! Managed to get it back to normal by slugging my skin with moisturiser at night. I have normal/combination skin and no sensitivities usually! #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
