The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Unclogs pores
I really like this product, it's rare I find a face wash that visibly reduces the appearance of my pores but with this it was obvious from one wash. The (large) pores on my nose looked like they had been completely unclogged and remained so all day, so with regular (twice daily) face washing I can safely say that this wash will keep my skin looking clean and clear #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Smoothing and clearing
The first time I used this it felt tingly on my face. I didn't mind but indicates it may not be suitable for all skin. After the first use it felt fine to use daily. It was pleasant to use without a scent and slightly foaming mixed with water. I think the exfoliating properties helped make my skin smoother and brighter over the few weeks of use. I had no breakouts whilst using this product so I think it helps unclog pores. I would continue to use this daily or every couple of days, and recommend to others #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Great facial wash

Nice cleanser

This wash definitely left my skin feeling clean and renewed. I did notice within a week or so that my scars did appear smaller and less noticeable. I did have to take a break from using it as my skin felt a bit sensitive, but my skin felt tighter after every use which made me feel like it was working! I love this face wash, it's really helped to stop breakouts and reduce the swelling and redness of any existing blemishes. Will work for the right people
I feel this product would do wonders for people that have incredibly oily/acne prone skin. I found this face wash incredibly drying and hard to use for 4 weeks, I did but it has caused flaking on my usually oily nose. The wash did help reduce some of my spots which is the only positive thing I can say about this product unfortunately. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample
