The Clear and Defend Plus Facial Wash is a refreshing formula that helps to cleanse the skin, encouraging a clarified, more radiant look. Neutrogena’s face wash is powered by a 4% AHA/PHA blend that helps to even the skin tone and soothe the appearance of blemishes.
A 2% concentration of glycolic acid seeks to minimise the appearance of discolouration caused by blemishes. Gluconolactone, a resurfacing agent, aims to refine the skin, while salicylic acid helps to remove excess sebum. Discover a balanced-looking complexion with this revitalising face wash.
- Application: Wet face. Apply to hands, add water and massage face gently. Rinse thoroughly. Start with one application daily, then increase to two if desired. If dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
- Please Note: Avoid contact with eyes. Contains an AHA that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and sunburn. Use a sunscreen and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
- Glycolic Acid: A natural exfoliant found in unripe grapes and sugar beets
- Gluconolactone: A polyhydroxy acid that helps to even the skin tone
- Salicylic Acid: Oil-soluble exfoliant that helps clear blocked pores and refines texture

Good Clean, but Not Amazing
I tried the Neutrogena Clear & Defend+ Facial Wash, and while it's a decent product, it didn't completely exceed my expectations. What I appreciated most was its ability to provide effective cleansing without leaving a sticky feeling on the skin. This is important to me as many skincare products tend to leave uncomfortable residue. However, in terms of results, I found it to be effective but not exactly groundbreaking. My skin felt cleaner, but I was expecting a bit more in terms of blemish reduction or other specific benefits. Maybe my expectations were high, but overall, this product is useful for maintaining clean and fresh skin. If you're looking for a no-fuss facial cleanser, this could be a good choice. It gets the job done, it's easy to use, and it doesn't leave unpleasant residues. Cleansing, gentle face wash
When I started using this I had a weird breakout along my lip line that took a week to clear up (I have never had this before, I don’t know if it was the product or just a freak coincidence). But after two weeks of using I was okay. My skin has always been pretty clear until I hit my 30s, I think this has slightly cleared up my skin but not made enough of a difference to go out of my way to buy again. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Great for spot prone skin
Great for spot prone skin, as it contains salicylic acid and glycolic acid and is fragrance free. Made my skin feel for radiant and reduced my breakouts. Made my acne scars less visible and skin more radiant and my pores less visible , i used 2 times a day, morning and evening. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Brilliant Product
This face wash does exactly what it says it will. I suffer with hormonal breakouts on my chin and I have used this product twice a week and my complexion has completely changed. Although it has dried my skin out when I used it every day for one week, however when I've used it twice a week, it's left my skin looking clean and fresh and noticeably less breakouts. #HomeTesterClubFreeSample

Facial Wash
I used this product for around 2 weeks once a day, and it didn't really agree with my skin. It dries my skin out completely to the point I was getting blemishes again and my skin just didn't feel great at all after about a week, but I bared with it. Just love it
I have been using the face wash at least twice a day for more than a week now and I have to say it is a great improvement of my skin. After using it leaves me with a clean sensation on my face. The redness and the spots have reduced and I can see how nicely it's washing the make up. I am really impressed with it and I will continue to use it. No stinging or burning sensation after using it. Very good product
