The Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector is a best-selling pre-shampoo treatment powered by scientifically-proven Olaplex Bond Building Technology™. Enriched with a host of revolutionary actives, the high-performance formula helps to hydrate and visibly smooth hair, promoting a stronger-looking and more resilient appearance.
With a pH balance of 3.5-5, the weekly at-home treatment works to restore a satin-like shine and soft texture to dry, damaged hair. Simply comb the radiance-boosting Olaplex treatment through damp hair, allow it to work its magic for 10 minutes, and then follow with your usual wash routine. The hair appears visibly nourished, exudes a glossy sheen, and feels luxuriously smooth.
- Application: Apply generously to damp hair from scalp to ends until hair is thoroughly saturated. Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes (or longer if desired). Rinse from hair. Cleanse with OLAPLEX Nº.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and OLAPLEX Nº.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner.
- Routine: Use once a week or 2-3 times a week for very damaged hair.
Pro Tip: Use OLAPLEX No.0 Intensive Bond Building Hair Treatment before No.3 Hair Perfector™ as a two-part system.
- Original Bond Builder System: Patented technology that helps leave hair feeling stronger

How to use Olaplex 3
Designed to be used once weekly, distribute the pre-shampoo treatment onto damp hair before washing and comb through for even root-to-tip saturation. Leave it on for a minimum of ten minutes and a maximum of 90, depending on how damaged your hair is. Rinse, then follow with Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. Dry and style as usual with your favourite Olaplex products.
Can you leave Olaplex 3 on overnight?
It is not advised to leave Olaplex No.3 in the hair overnight, as the formula is intended to be rinsed out and followed by a shampoo cleanse. The brand suggests that just ten minutes is long enough to notice visible results.
What does Olaplex 3 do?
Olaplex No.3 is a pre-shampoo perfecting treatment that nourishes all hair types, including coloured and chemically treated. Thanks to innovative Bond Building Technology®, the formula protects against breakage, brittleness and dullness, restoring the hair’s look and feel with a high-shine finish.

We really appreciate your thoughts! Our customer reviews on LOOKFANTASTIC are as real and authentic as our love for beauty, and we’re proud that they belong just to you and don’t reflect the opinions of us or The Hut Group.
Incredible product!
I don’t usually leave reviews but Okaplex products deserve one! I have bleached my hair for years and it’s dry, brittle and frizzy abs have literally tried every product under the sun to treat it. Bought a few of the olaplex range including this hair perfector and I’m astounded by the results! My hair was instantly smoother sleeker and looked so healthy and shiny! Really does do what it says! Will be stocking up!!

Gem of hair care
Found Olaplex products during lockdown and wow what a difference they have made to my hair - smooth, shiny and strong. I use this pretreatment once a week, either leave it in over night (in a hair turban) or at least for a good couple of hours, followed by the shampoo, conditioner and the after bonding cream before drying and styling. It's worth every penny and last ages. Would fully recommend

Raves about for a reason
I’ve been repurchasing this for a long time now. Whenever I use it my hit is always silky smooth compared to when I do not use it. I recommend this to anyone who is trying to de-frizz/smooth their hair after washing it.

Fave 😍
Absolutely one of my favourite hair masks, non greasy, leaves your hair feeling UNREAL and makes styling a dream. I have quite dry frizzy hair normally, and this product really helps. Obsessed

Softens dry colour treated hair
When using this product 1-2 per week I do notice that my hair is softer and feels healthier. Only downside is the amount of product you receive wont last more than 10 applications for long hair.

Still contains butylphenyl methylpropional
Despite the disclaimer stating that butylphenyl methylpropional is no longer an ingredient, the bottle I bought from Lookfantastic still lists the ingredient. Not impressive when you’re TTC!

Olaplex no3
I don’t normally post reviews, however I ALWAYS read them when buying new products so wanted to share my opinion. I have been getting my hair bleached blonde at the salon for years, unfortunately the salon is irresponsible as they have double/triple bleached my hair and as result, my hair has literally snapped and broke off. I didn’t know much about hair care back then, I wish I did, so I fully trusted the salon and didn’t realise until it was too late. The front and sides of my hair snapped and my hair was literally only a few inches long at the front and sides. I had to get inches and inches cut of my hair all over as it was completely dead. As well as that, the bleach left my hair SO dry and damaged. My hair literally felt like straw, I was so embarrassed to leave the house due to how dry and damaged my hair was. I last bleached my hair last august so coming up to nearly a year and my hair has improved so much. It’s not completely there yet but most of the damage has been restored. I made many changes such as less heat and no more bleaching etc so that all contributed to the health of my hair, however I invested in olaplex and I can honestly say I love it. It is expensive I will not lie but I really wish I took hair care more seriously before. I haven’t bought store products since last summer and the difference it has made to my hair. But no3 is my absolute favourite olaplex product, I will never not use it. If you are unsure about trying the brand or because of money, I would say buy no3 if nothing else because it’s amazing. I love the shampoo, conditioner and hair oil from olaplex but I think no3 is what helped the most with how dry my hair was. No3 saved my hair without a doubt. I found it was most effective when washing hair with cold water. So I am about 8 months into my hair journey but only really took it seriously with the products and being religious with it since Christmas. Stopped bleaching it in august and a few months later invested properly with good hair care products. I wash my hair once a week, 2 if I have plans. I wet my hair, apply no3 and leave it on for as long as i can, usually a few hours whilst I do things around the house. Wash off in shower with cold water and apply shampoo and then conditioner or no8. Would highly recommend to anyone who is looking to try the brand but unsure what product to start off with and for those struggling with dry/bleached hair. The only olaplex range I’m not crazy about is no0 and the bond repairer, still good products but personally I see more improvements with no3, no4, no5 and no8. Hope this helps anyone in the position I was in last year, damaged hair but not knowing what to try.
