Formulated to provide mild exfoliation, the Lactic Acid 10% + HA 2% Superficial Peeling Formulation from The Ordinary promotes a smoother, more evenly-toned complexion.
The serum is fortified lactic acid, an exfoliating alpha hydroxy acid (AHA), to help improve the appearance of pigmentation, uneven skin tone and texture. The addition of a Tasmanian pepperberry derivative helps to soothe sensitive skin, while hyaluronic acid attracts and retains moisture.
Contraindications: Lactic Acid should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Please refer to additional sun protection note and other warnings in provided Directions.
Apply once per day, ideally in the evening. Can be diluted with other treatments to reduce strength until skin develops tolerance. Avoid contact with eyes. If irritation persists, discontinue use and consult a physician. (Sunburn Alert: This product contains an alpha hydroxy acid (AHA) that may increase your skin's sensitivity to the sun and particularly the possibility of sunburn. Use a sunscreen, wear protective clothing, and limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.)

A gentle exfoliation for everyday
I use this product every night after washing my face. A little goes a long way so this bottle will last a while. It provides a gentle exfoliation without irritation but the results are not instant. It takes a week or so to see a difference in skin but after using it consistently my pores look clearer and my skin feels smoother

This product can be drying, so make sure you pair it with a strong moisturizer. It doesn’t sting my skin at all, but if you’re new to acids or if you have any breakouts or cuts, you may feel it. If you don’t though, don’t worry—it’s still working. While I wouldn’t recommend using this product every day, I really like it as a way to give my skin a boost without having to worry about irritation. I’m keeping this one on-hand to use whenever I notice my skin getting a little dull, as well as to boost my other discoloration-reducing products. It softened the wrinkles so that they aren't that much visible now. It leaves my skin very soft and doesn't cause any irritation whatsoever, and I have sensitive skin. I'm really impressed with this product! At the price of it, you don't mind using it generously.
