The Olaplex No.3 Hair Perfector is a best-selling pre-shampoo treatment powered by scientifically-proven Olaplex Bond Building Technology™. Enriched with a host of revolutionary actives, the high-performance formula helps to hydrate and visibly smooth hair, promoting a stronger-looking and more resilient appearance.
With a pH balance of 3.5-5, the weekly at-home treatment works to restore a satin-like shine and soft texture to dry, damaged hair. Simply comb the radiance-boosting Olaplex treatment through damp hair, allow it to work its magic for 10 minutes, and then follow with your usual wash routine. The hair appears visibly nourished, exudes a glossy sheen, and feels luxuriously smooth.
- Application: Apply generously to damp hair from scalp to ends until hair is thoroughly saturated. Leave on for a minimum of 10 minutes (or longer if desired). Rinse from hair. Cleanse with OLAPLEX Nº.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and OLAPLEX Nº.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner.

How to use Olaplex 3
Designed to be used once weekly, distribute the pre-shampoo treatment onto damp hair before washing and comb through for even root-to-tip saturation. Leave it on for a minimum of ten minutes and a maximum of 90, depending on how damaged your hair is. Rinse, then follow with Olaplex No.4 Bond Maintenance Shampoo and No.5 Bond Maintenance Conditioner. Dry and style as usual with your favourite Olaplex products.
Can you leave Olaplex 3 on overnight?
It is not advised to leave Olaplex No.3 in the hair overnight, as the formula is intended to be rinsed out and followed by a shampoo cleanse. The brand suggests that just ten minutes is long enough to notice visible results.

Wasn’t sure what to expect from this, I have bleached hair that goes very frizzy and cotton wool like so thought I’d give it a go as my hairdresser uses it each time. I have only used it once and even applying it my hair felt like silk! I kept it on overnight and my hair the next day felt amazing. I’ve only used it once so it’s still a little dry but I am sure if I use it once/twice a week my hair will feel amazing in no time! Definitely worth the money. A little goes a long way!

I have read a lot of reviews before finishing going ahead and ordering the product. And this was one of the best decisions in my life. My hair is severely damaged by years of using heat appliances. I used Olaplex just once and what a great result! I left it for 3 hours and after when I shampooed it and conditioned it looks healthier and feels fuller. I read a lot of reviews about that some girls being left with super dry hair after the treatment and I must say that it’s either a lie or the product that they have got was tempered/fake. I called Olaplex to ask for official only retailers and in the U.K. the two most popular ones are Look Fantastic and Feel Unique. I have been warned that whatever I purchase on Amazon or EBay might be not genuine Olaplex. Please do not be tempted by cheaper prices on Amazon as it might be well a fake product. The real Olaplex leave your hair look shiny, soft and healthy.

Great - if you do it right!
The first couple of times I used this, I hadn’t followed the instructions correctly (fully washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner). All you need to do is rinse your hair, towel dry, leave for as long as possible. Then wash as normal. Wow I can really feel the difference. TBH, I think the instructions could be a bit clearer.

My hairdresser took my hair from black to a light blonde over 12 weeks. She used the olaplex no.1 and no.2 each time I had a treatment and my hair was looking pretty good! However, the last time I had my hair dyed I asked to not have any cut off as I was going on holiday and wanted it as long as possible, therefore leaving my dead ends from the bleaching process on my hair. After a week of the sea, hot sun and chlorinated swimming pools (not to mention having to use cheap shampoo every day because I ran out of mine so fast!), my hair was FRIED. I called my hairdresser and she recommended this no.3 treatment to use twice a week overnight with a silk headscarf on. At first I wasn’t super impressed, my hair still felt tacky when wet and dry at the ends after a couple of uses. However, it’s now been about three weeks of twice-weekly treatments and my hair is so strong! It’s still dry at the ends which I’m so needing trimming anyway so just keep your expectations reasonable, but my hair doesn’t snap so easily, feels stronger and healthier and has a lovely shine to it! A little expensive but well worth the price, olaplex has rescued my hair when I thought I’d have to have loads cut off!
