Let close the door the 2012 and make sure that your beauty regime and products are up to scratch for 2013 with our ten beauty new year’s resolutions
Re-evaluate your skincare regime
For some of us, using the same cream every day has been something we’ve done since we were teenagers. But since then our skin has changed and its about time we re-evaluated where we were at for 2013. For most, skin will have been oilier when younger meaning that now we could be using a moisturizer or cleanser that’s too light for our pores. Try using something with more moisture for your skin and see how it reacts, you could be surprised at how your complexion could turn out.

Clean your make-up brushes
You won’t even consider this within your daily regime, but using a make-up brush on your skin everyday can lead to a build up of bacteria that’s lifted off your face or where you leave your brushes. Try to wash your brushes every couple of weeks whilst buying new ones every 2 months to ensure that not only they work the best but they also don’t cause blemishes.

Swear to protect your hair
Been treating your hair badly in 2012? Well make sure that this year you look after your locks, investing in hair oils, serums and heat protection products to ensure that when you’re styling you’re not destroying your hair.

Find your signature scent
Many of us flit from fragrance to fragrance, choosing something that at the time appeals but a few weeks on doesn’t seem to impress anymore. Find your signature scent by having a good go of the fragrance samples in store. Choosing a scent for daytime and nighttime is ideal because you can distinguish between work and play time.

Always wash your make-up off before bed
A beauty sin committed by all, not washing your make-up off before you sleep is one of the worst things you could do to your skin. Causing signs of aging, dry skin and blemishes not to mention a disgraceful looking pillow.

Have a cosmetics clean out
Forgotten by many, but that lipstick or eyeliner you keep around for that special outfit or a particular night out could actually be out of date by the time you come to use it. Make-up generally has a 3 month lifetime, after which formulas can start to dissolve and change, making them bad for your skin. Try to keep on top of how long ago you bought something, refreshing your foundations, mascaras and lipsticks every few months.
Get your brows right again
Have a feeling that your brows aren’t really suiting the structure of your face? Well have a eyebrow makeover using a product like Rapid Brow to increase to growth of your eyebrows. Once grown (usually after 4 weeks) have a rethink or seek out a professional to style your eyebrows to your face.
Start taking multi-vitamins
Every season comes with it’s difficulties; Wintertime is the season of colds and the flu so taking immune boosting supplements like Vitamin C is essential to keeping you on top form. Multi vitamins are also ideal for the summer, ensuring that hair and skin doesn’t dry out. Just one tablet a day can see an increase in energy and a boost in your complexion.

Experiment with your style
Stuck in a rut? 2013 could be the year you find some new beauty styles to step out in. If you’re shy of colour, try swapping your black eyeliner or mascara for something more colourful. Always got a nude lip, switch it up with a light pink, red or berry to show a more flirty and fun side of yourself.
Trying in front of the mirror is a great way of perfecting these looks before showing the world the new you.
Make time for beauty sleep
The most important out of all the resolutions we’re swearing by this year; the dedication of getting the 8 hours we need to not only function during the day, but to have our bodies and skin looking the best they can. Sleeping not only improves your overall mood, but it boosts the youthful appearance of your complexion. Not forgetting that getting the right amount of sleep allows our body to digest food properly, leaving us less likely to pick unhealthy snacks during the day.
A win, win in our eyes, so rest up for some boosted natural beauty.
