Hair extensions have become a major trend this year. They add volume and length both for everyday or as a boost on a special occasion. We’re talking about our favourite extensions from Beauty Works and have rounded up the top 5 hair looks to try out.
Beauty Works Extensions
Beauty Works are the hair extension experts. They have everything from full weaves to more affordable clip-ins and all of them are guaranteed to be incredible quality.
Although extensions are usually for the professionals, Beauty Works now have you covered with their latest collaboration with Hair Stylist to the stars, Jen Atkin. They have created a range of extensions that are effortless to fit and look as natural as possible.
The new range boasts invisible technology that makes the wefts of hair totally blend into your natural hair. Available in 20 shades, including 10 specially made root blends if you have ombré or multi-tonal hair. Picking a colour to match your hair couldn’t be easier!
5 Ways to Style Hair Extensions
If you’re looking for ways you can style up your extensions, take a look at 5 looks we have been loving.
The Double Buns
Can you believe Jen used the clip-in extensions for this look? They are totally invisible, but that is the secret to the buns looking full. It’s a really fun look to try for a night out and super easy to create; just insert your clip-ins on each side of the head, part the hair in 2 and twist each section up into a high bun.
The Half-Up Pony
This look is very popular right now. It is a great style for the summer, helping to keep the hair away from the face and create the illusion of extra thickness. Use the clip-ins on the bottom section to add length, make a pony with the top section and there you go!
Top Tip: Make sure to spread out the sections from the twist, to make sure the extensions are covered. The invisible weft technology makes them so easy to blend in with your natural hair.
The Classic Pony
We love this relaxed hair look on Gigi; classic, simple and youthful. Extensions aren’t all about adding length. Jen used the clip-ins to add extra thickness and texture to the pony, as Gigi is already blessed with long locks.
Top Tip: To blend the hair with your natural hair rub some Beauty Works Serum between your hands to add some more definition to individual pieces.
The Low Pony with a Twist
Want to try an edgier version of the pony? Jen switched this simple look up with a few elastics down the pony, making a graphic, textured style that is actually oh-so-simple.
Top Tip: To get the look, use a few strips of clip-ins to add length and thickness and use 3-4 elastics to section the pony. Between each elastic tease out the hair to make the sections appear thicker!
Straight and Sleek
We felt like being long and blonde today. ?? Haircolor @traceycunningham1 Makeup @joycebonelli Styling @monicarosestyle #JenAtkinHair ? My how to and extension recommendations up on my snap today! I also took over @people_style snapchat ! ?? it was a @kbeautyhair @theouai party today #KocktailsWithKhloe ?
You can’t go wrong with straight look! This is perfect for the office as well as a glamourous night out. Adding extensions helps you go totally sleek, without hair looking flat and lifeless.
Top Tip: To make sure your extensions are invisible, the key is to section the hair in the correct places. If you have layered hair, it will be best to to stagger the clip-ins from a higher position on the crown. The clips are very strong, so wont budge, and best of all they are completely unnoticeable against the scalp.
