Looking to spice up your strands without it taking a toll on your bank account? If you're looking for new ways to use your trusty pair of straighteners, watch the video below from the styling Queens at ghd on how to use your Platinum+ Straighteners to achieve bouncy, soft-textured curls.

Step 1: Spray and Dry

Prep the hair for styling by applying the ghd Pick Me Up Root Lift Spray to both the roots and ends of the hair to give your locks lift and protect them from heat when styling. Dry your hair completely using the ghd Helios™ Professional Hair Dryer.

Step 2: Section

Using the ghd Tail Comb, section your hair into two from the crown to the nape of the neck, pulling each section forward. Further section each side of the head into three horizontal layers, using a clip to secure them away from each other.

Step 3: Heat Protection

Spray each section of hair with the ghd Bodyguard Heat Protect Spray to protect it from the heat of the styler making sure to spray both above and beneath the hair for full coverage. The smart spray not only offers two levels of heat protection, but also creates a shinier, healthy looking finish.

Step 4: Style

Using the ghd Platinum+ Straighteners to create your curls. With the wire of your styler facing the ceiling and tips facing the floor, place your first section of hair into the plates of the styler, turning it away from the face, twist the stylers one full turn and then glide down the length of the hair to reveal your curl.

Repeat the process on the rest of that side of the head, turning the hair towards the face this time, in contrast to the piece closest to the face. Then duplicate the process on the other side of the head.

If you have a fringe, make sure to style the edges into your curls, using the same process to curl the shorter sections of hair away from the face.

Step 6: Spray

Spray the ghd Shiny Ever After Final Shine Spray all over your curls. The lightweight spray finishes off your look by helping to tame remaining frizz and fly-aways and enhancing your shine to leave the hair looking glossy and sleek.

Step 7: Comb out hair

Use a wide-tooth comb such as the ghd Detangling Comb to brush out and loosen your curls, giving them a fuller, softer texture.
