If you have been sucked into the addicting world of TikTok like the majority of the population during lock down, you've probably come across this highly trending hair style. Demonstrated by the likes of A listers such as Dua Lipa, two-tone hair is in, the latest colour craze; pink! Teaming up with @sophiehannah and L'Oreal Colorista, we have got the official TikTok how-to video showing you how to get the look. Don't worry if you struggle to keep up, we have broken down each step below so that you can recreate in your own time.

Step 1
Do your patch test! No matter how many times you have dyed your hair before, if you've never used this particular dye, try a small amount out on your skin and leave for 48 hours to check that you won't react to it.
Step 2
The prep work: apply moisturising cream or a clear lip balm to your hairline before dying your hair to avoid staining on the skin and put an old towel that you don't mind getting a bit messed up ready and on stand by for any wiping emergencies. Part your hair into sections, tying back the hair you don't want to dye, and leaving the sections you do free.
Step 3
Time to get colourful! Open up your box and lay out all of your equipment. Mix the bottles labelled 1 and 2 together and shake well to combine and then start applying the colourant to your roots massaging it in well and then working it down through the strands right to the tips. Build up your colour as Sophie Hannah does and really work that colour in, massaging down through the strands and side to side to ensure that your pink is perfectly distributed.
Step 4
Tie your dyed hair up and out of the way to avoid any dye dripping and leave it to set for 20 minute; the perfect time to clear up any mess or wipe away dye on the skin, or just put your feet up and watch more TikTok videos!
Step 5
Rinse! Rinse out the dye until your shower water runs clear indicating that you've got it all out and your nice white towel won't end up looking like you threw a red sock in your washing machine by accident.
Step 6
Whilst still in the shower, apply your mask (bottle number 3). Work this into your hair well from root to tip and then leave it to absorb for 60 seconds before rinsing it out. Make sure not to skip this step as your newly dyed hair needs it's nourishment and more importantly it's shine!
