Oh, beehive!

Last week, we teamed up with beauty blogger Carrie from Wish Wish Wish to teach us how to perfect the Crown Braid, this week we’ve joined forces with fashion blogger Olivia of What Olivia Did to show you how to get the perfect 60’s beehive; an up-do made for hazy summer days that’s really not as difficult as it looks! Visit Olivia’s blog at for more tutorials as well as fashion advice and yummy recipes!

Follow our 4 easy steps to get the look…

1. Give your hair a good brush through and separate into halves, pin up the top half to keep it out of the way. Take the bottom half and secure it with pins, twisted up from the nape of your neck. Add a spray of SP Luxe Light Oil Spray to keep it supple, shiny and smooth.

2. Unpin the top half and spritz with Sebastian Drynamic Dry Shampoo for extra volume and hold. Grab a comb and back comb the top section of your hair, try to keep the sides smoother to get the perfect finish.

3. Smooth the top of your hair with your comb, making sure to cover up the backcombed madness below without losing the volume. Pin securely at the back, starting with the top and then bringing the sides in to cover up any flyaways.

4. Spritz with a little SP Luxe Light Oil Spray to finish and your 60’s barnet is complete. If your hair is lacking volume, try Nioxin Diaboost Treatment which helps to strengthen and thicken your hair from the inside out from the first application.

Make Up Specialist

Major fan of scented candles, Make Up brushes and Highlighter. I’m always on the hunt for those Holy Grail products and my dressing table is covered in more beauty products than I like to admit. As an adopted Northerner originally from Brighton, I spend most my days wondering what all this rain is about. My hair isn’t grateful for the move. Currently loving: NIOD Photography Fluid
