Celebrate International Women’s Day with the beauty products that inspire and empower

Beautiful makeup and skincare which perfects and enhances our skin can make us feel confident and ready to take on the world.

To celebrate International Women’s Day on the 8th of March, we asked our Beauty Set which beauty products make them feel confident, beautiful and powerful.

I’m going to try sharing a bit more ME on the good old ‘gram from now on… I mean, I share my face all the time, as well as photos of my favourite things but I’ve started to notice I’m actually pretty guarded on here. The penny has finally dropped that we all follow people for different reasons and me trying to emulate my fave accounts or photography styles isn’t really real, and it’s certainly not me! So here’s to change. Let’s hope it’s for the best 😂👍💁🏻‍♀️ . . . My love of beauty will never change, so here are the products I’m wearing 💕: • @illamasqua beyond veil primer* • @narsissist sheer glow* • @maybelline age rewind concealer* • @blinkbrowbar pomade in (Indian Chocolate)* • @nyxcosmetics_uk eye palette (Warm Neutrals)* • @yslbeauty faux cils mascara* • @hdbrowsofficial face palette* • @illamasqua powder highlight* • @maccosmeticsuk lip pencil (Rosy Rim)* • @fentybeauty gloss bomb (Fussy)* • @urbandecaycosmetics all nighter* . All * are available at @lookfantastic 💕 You can use SARAH20 for 20% off select items 😘🎉 . . #bloggershare #reallifeandstyle #shinyhappybloggers #ukbloggers #blogginggals #bloggerdiaries #posttheordinary #discoverunder2k #beautybloggerlife #skincareblogger #beautytalk #selfiegram #sundayselfie #beautycommunity #positivechanges #smallblogger #thecaptionclub #bloggerpost #chattycaptioncommunity #photosinbetween #beautylovers #makeupbyme #makeupjunkie #makeupcommunity #dysonairwrap #blowdrycurls

‘The product that empowers me is the Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray. I always have 100% faith it’s going to do what I need it to, so I don’t have to worry about how my makeup is going to look later in the day or evening. I can just focus on having the best day possible… whether that’s a good day at work, socialising with friends, anything! It leaves me knowing I’m going to feel and look my best during the moments that matter.’

‘My empowering product of choice has to be the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water for Delicate Skin and Eyes. As much as I love to change my appearance and play with all sorts of amazing makeup products, there is nothing more empowering than taking it all off. This product helps me cleanse and embrace the skin I was born in and be unapologetically me.’

Happy Monday!! We've been winging our way into your feeds for a couple of years now and don't think we've ever properly introduced ourselves. How rude!! So here we are… bare faced and ready to reveal all! We're Mala (on the left) and Vikki (right, obviously) and we live in North London. We're both 42 (well, M is, but V is very nearly there!!) and we each have 3 kids (1 girl and 2 boys, coincidentally!). Oh, and M has a bonkers puppy, Bertie 🐕 We met 10 years ago when our middle children were at nursery school together and became firm friends immediately… #curlyhair is always a good ice breaker and conversation starter!! We hit it off from the start, mostly thanks to our shared love of beauty and our backgrounds in the industry. That's enough for now!! Read more later on today about how our paths nearly crossed 20 years ago at #voguehouse London!! 😘😘

‘We both love radiant glowing skin so love using highlighter pens to brighten and add luminosity to our complexions. We love both the iconic YSL Touche Éclat and the Estée Lauder Double Wear Brush-On Glow BB Highlighter. These two wonder wands empower us; because makeup should enhance your natural beauty.’

‘As women, we endure so much and it takes a toll on our skin. Instead of piling on loads of makeup to cover my flaws, I treat my problem areas. My go-to after a long, tiring week is the GLAMGLOW Supermud Clearing Treatment Mask. Whether used as a spot treatment or a full-face mask, it removes impurities and minimises blemishes and at the same time tightens the skin, allowing for a renewed radiant complexion to shine through. The moment we realise that skin is the best foundation is the moment we reveal our full potential and explore endless possibilities.’

Jamie Rockers, @beautyrocksblog

‘My empowering product of choice is lipstick. I love the transformational power of a lipstick and the fact that it can brighten and lift the whole face. A punchy pink or a red lipstick to me equals confidence and there is nothing more empowering than confidence. When you start believing in yourself, magic happens. And it can all start with a little tube of lipstick. My all-time favourite is MAC Ruby Woo.’

Huma Ahmad, @huma.ah

‘No matter how bad my mood is, how bad my hair looks or day seems, Yves Saint Laurent Tatouage Couture Lipstick in Shade 1 fixes it all. A bold red lip makes me feel like I can take on the world.’
