Why are Smoothie Bowls good for you?
There is a lot of hype around whether smoothies and smoothie bowls are good for you due to their high sugar content. However, because the sugar is coming from natural sources, it’s a lot better than the sugar you would get from a pastry.
Smoothie bowls are also balanced out with other ingredients, which help to stabilise the sugar content and balance out the high levels. Choose calcium-rich products to keep the bowl balanced, and add high protein toppings such as seeds and nuts too.
