It can be a scary experience when you buy your first liquid eyeliner but trust us, here at Lookfantastic HQ – with a little practice and a few easy steps, you can achieve the perfect winged eyeliner in no time. It is a look that you can easily vamp up from day to night with a little touch of lipstick and some lovely long lashes!
1 – Finding the Angle
This is simply starting from the outer corner of your eye and going towards the end of you eyebrows. Make the flick about half way between the two points.
2 – Drawing the Outline
Start in the inner corner and depending on how thick you want your eyeliner to be, you simply follow the shape of your eye and drag the liner as far as it will go smoothly. Remember you can always build up the thickness of the wing, it’s harder to go back – so stick to what you’re comfortable with to start with.
3 – Colour In
Join the two lines together and fill in any gaps between the line and your eyelashes.
Top Tip
Use a highlighter such as Pixi Wide Awake to brighten the waterline and open up your eyes to really make your new wings stand out!
Next, partner your new, winged eyeliner with a nude or pink lipstick for a gorgeous day look; upgrade to a hot red for a glamorous evening look!
