Achieving long lashes without applying falsies is a task most of us have yet to conquer. While mascara can instantly make our eyes look wide awake, by the end of the day, it tends to wear off and leave us looking less than revitalised.
Luckily, Pixi's makeup artist Amanda Bell is on hand to teach us how to keep those lashes looking amazing day and night.
How To Get Longer Lashes With Pixi
I personally love the Pixi Large Lash Mascara. Lashes will be fuller, longer, more luxurious looking and better than any set of falsies!
We all know that the search the perfect mascara is like the search for the holy grail. It’s 50% formulations and 50% brush so finding a mascara to add both length and definition can be really tricky. I recommend using the Pixi Large Lash Mascara which imparts length and deeply pigmented colour whilst also lengthening and defining the lashes. My top trick when applying is to use 2 coats- coat 1 you brush all your lashes from above and wiggle inwards towards the inner corner of the eye. Coat 2 of mascara you work from under the lashes and brush outwards this creates a beautiful lush lash effect.
Another tip to maximise the lash line is to put an Endless Silky Eye Pencil in the freezer for 20 mins (this solidifies it) so you can sharpen it to a precision tip. Once sharpened, run quickly and smoothly on the rim of your inner/upper waterline. Having black pigment instead of a skin tone instantly makes your lashes look thicker and fuller! Now apply small dots on the upper lash line as close to the roots as you can and gently blend out with a small clean shadow brush (or cotton bud), this will make the roots of the lashes look darker and more luxuriant.
