A seasonal eyeshadow palette with festive shades is a necessity for every makeup bag. There’s no better brand to turn to than the brand every makeup-loving girl wants to find under the tree.

MAC’s Snow Ball Eye Compact in ‘Rose Gold’ is the ultimate festive eyeshadow palette. Containing one matte shadow, two satin shadows, a luster shadow and two frosted shadows, they work in harmony to create endless looks. This sleek silver palette looks great in your makeup kit and also leaves your eyes looking incredible.

Prime Your Lids

When you’ve created an amazing eyeshadow look, you want to maintain it for as long as possible. The best way to prevent it from both fading and smudging is to prime your eyes beforehand. Begin by applying a thin layer of the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot Eye Shadow in shade ‘Painterly’ for an even base which your shadow can stick to.

Add Shadow

Next, take the MAC Snow Ball Eye Compact and begin creating depth. Start by using your lightest shades across the whole eyelid and on the inner corners of the eye. From there, you can begin to add in and build up the darker shades on the outer third of your eyes. Pat some of the glitter shade on in the centre, blend it out and dust away any excess.

Finishing Touches

To complete your shimmering eye look, some finishing touches are needed to add definition. A quick sweep of mascara across the lashes can make a world of difference, but you can add some more drama by highlighting your waterline and lash line with black kohl. For something extra, you can draw a simple wing across your lid for a golden cat eye.
