Classic Red Lip

A classic red lip is always our go-to statement makeup look in the run up to Christmas. Using the iconic Ruby Woo Matte Lipstick from the MAC Shiny Pretty Things Lip Kit, MAC created this stunning look on our Beauty Set Member Huma. Replicate this beautiful look by following these simple steps:

1.

Begin by prepping the skin with MAC Strobe Cream and follow with MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation to perfect the skin for a flawless, luminous base.

2.

Create an eye base using MAC Pro Longweaar Paint Pot in the shade Groundwork, a warm matte brown, then blend out the edges with a fluffy brush such as the MAC 217S Blending Brush. As we want all the focus to be on the lips, we only want to add a subtle shimmer to the eyes so place a metallic cream shadow such as the MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in the shade Constructivist on the centre of your lid to add dimension.

3.

Add a flick to your simple eye look with MAC Fluidline Gel Liner in Blacktrack and create a small wing staying as close to the lash line as possible to add volume to your lashes. Complete the eye with lashings of MAC Instacurl Lash.

4.

With a damp sponge, apply MAC Studio Fix 24-Hour Liquid Concealer underneath your eyes and on imperfections to conceal and correct. Highlight the high points of your complexion with MAC Extra Dimension Skin Finish in Whisper of Guilt for a divine glow then set everything in place with MAC Prep + Prime Fix+.

5.

Complete your look with the most iconic red lip shade - MAC Ruby Woo.

Glitter Eyes and Glow

Glitter makes the perfect addition to any party season makeup look. With the MAC Shiny Pretty Things Party Favours Mini Glitter & Pigments kit, MAC created this dazzling look on our Beauty Set Memeber, MiiMii, which is the perfect go-to eye look for any party season festivities.

1.

Prime the skin with MAC Strobe Cream in Redlite, an iridescent cream with red pearls to brighten and warm up the complexion. Create a base with MAC Studio Fix Fluid Foundation and conceal any imperfections with MAC Studio Fix 24-Hour Liquid Concealer.

2.

As all the focus is on the eyes for this glitter look, take your time to build up pigment in layers for a smokey, dramatic finish. Begin by taking the MAC Kajal Crayon in Flourish Me Deep, a deep black shade, all over your lids as a base and blend out the edges with a 217S to create your desired eye shape. The creamy product creates the perfect base which locks your shades in place and adheres beautifully to both your skin and the shadows you place on top.

3.

Taking a flat eyeshadow brush such as the MAC 239, pack English Gilt pigment from the MAC Shiny Pretty Things Party Favours Mini Glitter & Pigments - Gold on to the kajal base. Deepen the outer corner with matte black shades and line your eyes close to your lashline with MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack.

4.

Transform your look with Gold glitter from the MAC Shiny Pretty Things Party Favours Mini Glitter & Pigments - Gold by taking a flat shadow brush misted with MAC Fix+. Press the glitter on top of your pigment for dazzling finish and complete the look with a pair of fluttery false lashes such as the MAC Lash - 48.

5.

Keep your lips neutral and understated with a simple nude liner and gloss combination. On MiiMii, MAC applied the MAC Lip Liner in the shade Chestnut then topped with a Lip Glass in the shade Caketop.

6.

Complete your look with an eye-catching highlight using the MAC Shiny Pretty Things Glow Getter kit in Gold. Use the golden Strobe Cream as a base then apply the Extra Dimension Skin Finish on top for a metallic, wet-look finish.

Rosy Red Eyes

Combining a red Christmas hue with a classic smokey eye, the rosy look MAC created on our Beauty Set Member Lois works beautifully on all skin tones. If you want to experiment with a little colour through the party season, this is the look you should recreate.

1.

Moisturise your skin with MAC Lightful C + Coral Grass Moisturiser, pressing the product into the skin to hydrate and enhance the natural luminosity of your skin. Lock everything in place with a generous mist of MAC Prep + Prime Fix+.

2.

Create a radiant base which looks just like skin with MAC Face and Body Foundation. Shake the bottle well and apply the product onto your skin with your finger tips, pressing the product into the skin for a natural, dewy finish. Conceal any imperfections with MAC Studio Fix 24-Hour Liquid Concealer.

3.

Prep your lids for your festive eye look with a MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Painterly or a shade close to your skin tone. Begin by taking Little Drummer Bae, a warm light beige shade from the MAC Shiny Pretty Things Eye Party - Rose, through your crease and down onto the lid. Blend out beautifully with a MAC 217S for a fully blown-out, smokey effect. Take the same smudge underneath your lower lash line.

4.

Continuing with the MAC Shiny Pretty Things Eye Party - Rose Palette, enhance the look with Tea Dust, a deeper warm pink biege, taking the shade through the crease focusing on the outer corner of your eye. Spend some time blending the shade and creating your desired eye shape. Define and intensify your look by packing Cordial, a blackened red brown, as a liner close to your upper and lower lash lines.

5.

Next, make it festive. Apply Holly Folly, a frosted fiery red, on the centre of your lid using your finger to pack the pigment in place. Take your 217S and blend the rich red into your warm matte tones for a smokey finish. Complete the look by lining your upper and lower waterlines with MAC Kohl Power Eye Pencil in Feline and apply lashings of MAC Extended Play Mascara in Gigablack.

6.

Keep the lips understated with a light layer of MAC Powder Kiss Lip in the shade Sultriness and add a spritz of MAC Fix+ to perfectly finish off your party look.
