Renowned for its blemish-busting and pore-purging abilities, the award-winning Mario Badescu Drying Lotion is a fast-acting spot solution. The formula works to dry out surface blemishes overnight and is a suitable saviour for all skin types.
The solution combines salicylic acid, sulfur and zinc oxide to visibly unclog pores, absorb excess oil and reduce the appearance of redness. Suitable for use on the face, neck, chest and back, the on-the-spot solution’s pink sediment (not to be shaken) is best applied with a cotton bud.

- When to Use: After cleansing and toning.
- Application: Dip a cotton swab into the pink sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Dab directly on the surface blemish, do not rub in. Do not dip the same cotton swab into the bottle again. Use the other side of the cotton swab to avoid contaminating the product with bacteria. Let dry and rinse off in the morning.
- Please Note: Do not use on broken skin. No matter how tempted you are, do not shake the bottle. If you do - simply set the bottle on an even, flat surface. Leave it undisturbed for a few hours until your Drying Lotion is settled. You can use the Drying Lotion to target surface blemishes on the back, chest, and neck too.

- Sulfur: A mineral that absorbs excess oils and visibly unclogs pores
- Zinc Oxide: A mineral that helps to absorb excess oil

Getting there with a little trial and error
I've been using this on my breakouts over the past couple of weeks, and I'm still kind of on the fence. I find the application fiddly (don't make the same mistake as me and shake the bottle!) but I love the smell and the formulation. I'm finding that if I apply over moisturiser, it's wiped off/vanished by morning, so I *think* I'm getting better results just applying to clean, dry skin. It definitely dries whiteheads up quicker but I was hoping it would help to calm down redness, and I haven't noticed anything like that so far.

I have been using this for years, but the formula seems to have changed. It almost crumbles the second you put it on and doesn’t sit on the skin well at all.

Best spot cream
My favourite spot cream. Dries the spot out and brings it to the surface. Does fry the skin around the spot out but does what you want it to. So pleased this is now stocked on LF!

Don’t shake it!
Didn’t realise at first you aren’t meant to shake, just dip in a cotton bud right to bottom. Not sure how much it does but makes me feel better trying
