Love it!
5I've been using City Block SPF 40 pretty much daily for at least 10 years and I highly recommend it. My skin type is combination; I'm fair and freckly! It is a reasonably thick consistency (thicker than foundation) but it's very easy to apply - either with fingers or a brush - and blends in well. It's great as a primer but recently I've been wearing it without foundation - the tint is enough to add a little boost to my skin. It doesn't leave any kind of white residue and so far I haven't noticed looking washed out in any photographs! SPF is so important to protect your skin - this one is a really excellent option. I also have the SPF 25 which is great too, but I prefer the higher protection.

My favourite facial sun block
4I love this product. It goes on easily, blends well and sits well under make-up. As it’s lightly tinted, it doesn’t leave a white residue. I’m on my third tube now and I also buy it for my teen daughter, she’s now a fan too.

Not for oily skin
1It's not to good for oily skin. After two hours of application, my skin was very oily. I'm really very disappointed!

Highly recommend
5Absolutely love this product it is really easy to apply to face it isn't sticky or heavy and you can apply makeup easily on top.I use it all year round as I'm outside in all weather's so my skin is well protected.Even in the summer one application is enough to stop my skin from catching the sun.Highly recommend you give it a try.

Undetectable under makeup
4I love this spf and it’s a great option for everyday use under makeup. I was drawn to the product by it’s “city” life claims and spf40 but a little put off by the tint and colour of the product, as I was worried that it would be too warm toned for me. However this is not the case at all. Do not be put off by the tint, it blends out into essentially a soft blurring effect with very little pigment and makes a great base for makeup. It’s also a great price for the quality and high spf content, will definitely purchase again.

Good but thick
4I bought this as I am no longer wearing my spf foundation due to wfh It’s a good product and the tint is the perfect colour, but it is sooooo thick! I need to mix with my moisturiser or put on immediately after

Beautiful, lightweight SPF
5Years ago I bought the SPF 25 from the same range and didn't know how to use this product. After Caroline Hirons recommended the SPF 40 I had to try it again - I wasn't disappointed! The product is really lightweight, thin in consistency (but not to the point where it is runny) and doesn't have a white cast - it is tinted. The reason why I didn't love the SPF 25 version originally was because I was not blending it in well but I learnt my lesson and now love the SPF 40! Highly recommend.

City bloc
5I love this product. It keeps my skin protected as I spend alot of time outdoors and have pigmintation which the city bloc prevents getting worse

Good product
4This product feels as though it’s going to be too greasy/thick for every day use when you first put it on, but once it settles into the skin (I’d wait about 10 mins before applying makeup) it’s actually a really good primer. My makeup stays on a lot longer whilst using this and still looks nice and glowy after a long day! Good price too, lasts you a long time!

The Best!
5I’ve been using this product for around 20 years. Every now & then I’ll try something different, sometimes spending double & I always return to this. Now I’m 55 I find this is enough & I don’t use foundation any more, but in my foundation wearing years this was/is the most cosmetically elegant to wear under foundation as it never “pills”. I put the required amount on for sun protection then let it dry, around 10 minutes, before applying the rest of my make up
