I used this after the scalp scrub and it immediately left my hair knot free. A few pumps for my thick curly hair is enough, concentrated on my ends and mid lengths then another pumps to smooth over the top. The knots just disappeared and it left my hair feeling super soft, well moisturised and ready for the next step. If you use the primer & scrub in this range i definitely would recommend using this conditioner. The kit is a good way of introducing yourself to this range of products
