Good, neutral basis
5Good to use as a handbag salve. Be aware that it is quite thick, so it might leave a greasy appearance. Personally I do not care, I slather it all over my face if I need an extra barrier, for example when it's very cold or windy. Using it on lips or cuticles is great.

Not for me
2I was really disappointed with this product. Not nearly moisturising enough for my lips. Disappears quickly so I feel like I'm constantly reapplying. It also feels gritty and unpleasant. Won't buy again.

Not as good as original balm
2Difficult to press it out of the tube. I did not like the smell, it smells like an old cream. The texture is different from the original balm, which is more creamy/oily and melts easier and is much more moisturising in my opinion. Unfortunately didn’t like Shea butter balm at all. It’s strange, but it also made my throat tingly.

Strange flavour and smell
2Honestly smells and tastes very old, as if it's gone off. I love the original yellow Dr Paw Paw, but this Shea butter one is not good. There are bits in it too.

Very disappointed
2Unfortunately I didn’t like this balm at all. It did nothing for my lips and skin. The smell is unpleasant, like it is very old.

Does what it says, just not enough product
3The balm is very nice and does help sooth chapped lips etc but the amount of product you get in this tube is very little. I almost think you are better off getting the smaller tube as it is probably the same amount of product in it and cheaper too!

5I have suffered for years with bad dry flaky and red irritated skin under my nose. I had tried everything and spent hundreds trying to find something which moisturised it and took the dryness away and nothing worked. I initially used the normal yellow Dr paw paw and saw an improvement within a day. I have now used this shea butter one and it’s even better. Will never use anything else again now. The dryness has completely gone and the redness is slowly leaving too as if hardly ever itches now. Would recommend this to anyone.
