Great for combination skin

This moisturiser is effective and lightweight at the same time. It instantly improves the moisture level in your skin and can be used with foundation to make a tinted moisturiser too. My skin is menopausal with oily, as well as dry, sensitive skin all at the same time. I find this doesn’t cause and reaction and does a great job.

Great for normal/combo skin

The moisturiser is light-weighted , feel light on the skin , it has lightly watery consistency feels more like a lotion however it does moisturise well a normal / combination skin , without clogging the pores , it feels well under make up as well without leaving the skin greasy , and yet doesn’t roll under make up .  The smell is great in my opinion since is natural and doesn’t have perfumes as other products have . I will always opt for natural smells rather than allergens or chemical fake fragrances on my skin.  If I compare it with luxury brands such as biologique recherche , or obagi , it smells much better, it’s not persistent, is just natural .

The smell...

A lovely lightweight moisturiser, sinks in well, plays well with other products but THE SMELL!! It’s a very strong botanical/thyme smell, I’m not usually bothered by fragrance but this is so strong and ruins a perfectly good moisturiser. There are much more pleasant ones out there much cheaper.

Best Day Time Moisturiser

For me this and Paula’s Choice Skin Balancing Moisturiser are the best day time moisturisers I’ve tried. The Espa Balancing Moisturiser is deeply nourishing and moisturising but without being greasy - it is super light and absorbs well. I find my make up sits a lot better when I use this too and keeps my skin hydrated but not oily! Plus it smells really spa-like - not too overpowering but subtle enough to appreciate!

Lovely

I had this out of the 2020 advent calender too and I've just started using it as my skin was feeling dry and worn out so thought why not give it a go. I love the smoothness of my skin after using it. The herbal smell doesn't bother me infact it suits me, and feels natural. My skin feels soft and hydrated and I will definitely carry on using it. So glad I didn't gift it!

My Go To Moisturiser

I’m loving this moisturiser that I received from the Advent Calendar. I was so pleased with the full size, and having Combination skin, I was excited to see how this would work for me. This keeps my skin hydrated and has a lovely Spa smell. Very pleased and will definitely purchase again!!

Super hydrating but not greasy

It’s a great moisturiser, really moisturising but doesn’t feel greasy. My skin is feeling super hydrated from this. Got this in the advent calendar and will be rebuying

Drys my skin out

Received this in my advent calendar and was pleased with the size and brand so was keen to use as I've liked previous ESPA products I'm disappointed as I feel like it days my skin out, I'm not keen of the consistency of the cream, it's very watery which maybe why it doesn't feel as good on my skin. I will finish the pot but will not purchase
