Perfect For Going Gray
5This is the perfect toning shampoo for those who want to go gray. I have extra long, thick, naturally curly hair that's all one length that I have to flat iron and it grows fast. And I live in a small rural town (USA) where beauty and shopping resources are limited. In late 2014 I finally got tired of years of coloring it medium brown because my silver roots required weekly touch ups. I wanted to go gray, not blonde, and I did not want to cut my hair, nor get high and low lights or go through years looking like a raccoon. So in late 2014 I started growing out the roots, using Silver Lining temporary rinse and started looking for somebody willing to bleach my hair. By March 2015 I was able to find a local colorist that uses a new type of conditioner to safely bleach hair. I told her that I did not want blonde hair, I just wanted something that would match closest to the roots and I didn't want to color my hair anymore. So 6 hours later (in one sitting) she did just that and finished with a toner using 10% developer that matched well with my natural silver. She told me to start using purple shampoo which I did but within weeks the bleached area looked an ugly brassy blonde color. It looked especially terrible because my hair is so very long and there's lots of it. So I did more research. I ordered the Fudge Clean Blonde Violet Shampoo (300ml) and used my regular deep conditioner. The first application I left on 20 minutes and the transformation was amazing! It pulled out al the yellow and brassiness, deepened the roots to a slate gray and smoothed out the overall color to a beautiful pewter silver gray. Every subsequent washing I have left on for 10 minutes or umtil it is visibly gray while wet and each washing only improves the color with time. People constantly ask if I've just had my hair done. It is easy to use, doesn't overly dry out my hair, and doesn't stain my white tile shower or my skin. It also doesn't rub off on my white sheets and pillow cases. I have not had to get additional coloring by the colorist which is great because that was my plan all along. I am still using my first tube and it's hard to tell how much is actually left but I realize now that I really can't run out of the stuff. I'll be reordering soon and my will always have a brand new full tube in the cabinet.

5So grateful I found this shampoo, after 1 use my blonde color looked as good if not better than it did the day my stylist colored it. I will never use another brand!

fantastic in every way
5After reading several independent blog reviews, I bought a bottle of Clean Blonde shampoo to help combat the brassiness in my recent hightlight job. The effect was immediate and my hair looks better the more I use it. I have naturally very ashy blonde hair yet every hairdresser on earth wants to add honey and other golden tones, even after I explicitly ask for the color to be "as ashy as possible". This leaves my hair not only well-toned, but soft and full - unlike other products I've tried which dried my hair so severely I could only use it one a week. I won't need to buy anything but Clean Blonde in the future - absolutely thrilled!
