I have fine, straight hair and can never hold the curl for long time without hairspray. This wand is able to create cute waves, which I love definitely. Compared to other curling wands, it can make lasting curls. For me it may be 1 hour longer than others. I am satisfied with its performance.

I have really thick hair and find that I have to hold straighteners/tongs etc in my hair for longer than recommended. However with these GHD ones they form a curl in next to no time and curl holds all day. Would recommend spending the extra money to buy these as they last longer than any of the cheaper brands.
