4I purchased these after upgrading from my 4.2's which needed repairing... apparently a fault common with all mark 4.2's... so I decided to buy the 5's to avoid the same problem... have only used these once, but in comparison they are a lot lighter and you don't feel as though you have to "clamp down" as hard also they seem to not "fry and sizzle my hair as much" - they heat the hair a lot more nicely!
