No difference
3I like the feel of the gel and it makes my foundation go further but that’s it. My skin doesn’t feel particularly hydrated and having to liquidise the gel first is an inconvenience I can do without at 5am.

Must Have
5I received this in my December beauty box, and I’ve already ordered it in full size. I’m 44, and have fairly normal skin. I have noticed recently my MAC foundation (that I’ve used for years) has a patchy appearance after a few hours. I have mixed this with my foundation instead of putting it on my face first, and it makes such a difference (and I don’t need to use as much foundation). It just makes my foundation feel so light and natural. Can’t recommend highly enough. This is definitely going to be a permanent part of my make-up routine

No flakes
5So this primer smoothes over all the dry bits on your skin, especially on the nose or anywhere else typical of flakes, however, it isn't your typical primer like for example, The pore-fessional by Benefit. It looks like a see through gel and you just take a spatula's amount, apply it to the whole face and let it sink in before applying any more products. It does not make the skin matte and it is not so good for 'smoother' appearance of foundation, however as a person who gets bad dry skin around the nose especially when I have a cold it is amazing for smoothing over those gross bits of skin covered in foundation I have on my nose. tldr: Lifesaver for dry skin before foundation Doesn't mattify or cover pores so well

2This did not do anything for me. My makeup didn't last any longer using this primer, it didn't look any smoother than it would without primer and my skin didn't feel soft or moisturised. And everytime I would wash off my makeup, the primer would ball up into little gel bits it's really weird. I'm so annoyed I bought this

Smooth Skin
4Love this product! Gives a super smooth finish. Helps reduce the appearance of fine lines. Great base to put tinted moisturiser on top.

Good primer, not so much moisture
4This is definitely good as a primer. Its gel texture dries almost instantly making it fantastic for mornings before foundation, however I dont find it hydrating at all. My skin feels quite tight after using it and my foundation has been cracking lately. I received this product in a beauty bag and I wouldn't purchase.

Must have!
5This is an absolute must-have for any makeup lover. Even though pricey, a little goes a long way and it makes your face feel so smooth and soft. Makeup applied a million times easier and eye makeup is also easier to remove afterwards. Illamasqua has got me hooked

5I absolutely LOVE this product! I am not blessed with oily skin and need to hydrate mine AND it is quite sensitive at the same time! I have been struggling with loads of primers that my skin just rejects and surprises me with some spots on the most inconvenient times. This Hydra Veil Primer is now a staple in my skincare -and make up collection and will continue buying it till the end of time :)

Holy Grail
5I love this product. When i first tried it on the back of my hand it was really sticky and took a while to soak in. I used just over half a scoop (it comes with one) and mixed it with 1 pump of my foundation, it turned all light and fluffy and mousse like. It then applied like a dream, took half the time to blend into my face and the finish was just amazing. I dont think i can live without this now & need to try the other version too. Highly recommend this product.
