Smoothly does it...
4Wow - finally a hair straightener to make ghd sweat a little! Having ruled the kingdom of straight locks for far too long, ghd finally have some serious competition on their hands. The Steampod is, cutting to the chase, blooming brilliant. Worth every penny. I sold my ghds and other worldly possessions on eBay to fund these and I can't say I've looked back. After some initial faffing (you may need some 'demineralised' water for your pod, or filtered, as most would), and getting it going is a little terrifying, the pod leaps into action and straightens the living daylights out of your unruly mane. Best of all: it stays put. Like, properly. Humidity, rain, sweat and small children won't mess up your perfectly coiffed look. I promise.

Love the steampod
5Tried the L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod for the first time today on my very brittle, over processed, extremely frizzy hair. After washing my hair with L`Oreal Serie Expert Absolut Repair I applied the Steampod Creme for very damaged hair. Then blow dried and applied Steampod Serum on lengths. I chose 170C on the Steampod, which is the lowest possible temperature. Just used it once on each hair hair section. I was amazed how silky and straight, yet swishy my hair looked and felt. I had used a ghd so far, but will definitely stick with Steampod. Shipping was extremely fast too and the Steampod was perfectly well packaged. It came with a UK plug, which was not a problem at all, I used a converter plug and it worked just fine.

Excellent
5This L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod is a fantastic product! I own a ghd styler too and I have always thought that that was the best... but after the Steampod... well, you will see! The fantastic thing is that at the very same time the heat repairs your hair. I can see the difference with the ghd one, which, however, is a fantastic product as well! But Steampod is just superior.. and consider that I always use the highest temperature.

5I just used my L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod for the first time and felt I had to share the results! About me... I've got just-past-shoulder length dry, damaged, frizzy hair that can look quite puffy and parched and I always seem to have split ends, even after getting a trim. It's curly in places and straight in others, making me look like I've been dragged through a bush. I'm not great at styling hair and I'm a product-aholic on a quest for sleek, manageable hair. After using the L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod my quest is now complete! I used it after letting my hair dry naturally and without using the haircare products L'Oreal have developed to complement the Steampod (I have a bathroom full of expensive serums and protective styling creams and felt I should use these up before buying yet more). I found it easy to use, despite the one direction instructions, and after using it on one of the lowest settings (180 degrees) I really do look like I've just stepped out of the hairdressers, and I've not had to use de-frizzing creams on the finished result, which is unheard of for me. My ghds are now relegated for travel use and the Steampod is my new best friend!

L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod
4I bought this L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod as they use it in the hair salon I go to and was really attracted by the fact that it doesn't damage your hair like others do. This can definitely straighten as well as the market leaders. but is better as it leaves a lovely shine and doesn't damage my hair. I only took one point away as, because it is a bit bigger than I'm used to, it is tricky to get right into the hair at the root.

steam straighteners
5This L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod is fabulous. My 'wire wool' hair is now silky and smooth. I love these straighteners. They are definitely an improvement on the good old ghds which I did love dearly but I am now a devotee of these steamies.

Believe the hype!
5I hesitated for months before buying this L'Oreal Professionnel Steampod. Unsure if it would cope with my hair type (afro-caribbean) nearly all natural now after giving up on chemical relaxers 3 years ago, and now Brazilian blow dry twice a year. My hair is short, thinning, light and fluffy in texture and my main problem is frizz, serious frizz. Straighteners work, but leave my hair thin, dull, flat and weakened and the fear of the frizz is forever present. Now I have tried the steam-pod, and oh my goodness. Believe the hype.. I have used it 3 times now, my hair is shiny, fuller, soft, gorgeous, easily manageable and transformed. People ask if I have just been to the salon... the finish is absolutely that good. The size of the steam-pod and only handling it one direction was not an issue for me, as a seasoned hairdryer, tong and straightener user, I got the hang of it immediately. It hisses gently like a steam iron as it glides down the hair, it has is transformed my hair and given me a hope that has been missing for years. Just try it!
