Not great for Tanned/dark skin

4

Mixed feelings about this one, it has a THICK CONSISTENCY which does leave a WHITE CAST upon application and takes a good while to BLEND into skin. Once set it actually feels quite LIGHTWEIGHT, leaving a SOFT MATTE velvety finish. At first it does make me look a little GREY and takes a good while to set and blend but does look nice on the skin after. I do really like the finish because it WORKS WELL for my oily skin and doesn’t leave me looking SHINY but I feel it just takes too long to blend in and being a busy mum of 2 I don’t have time to wait around in the mornings. It PILLS so you can’t use a moisturiser with it otherwise you’ll see it balling up and rolling off your face, also have to wait a while before applying makeup or set with powder first. ⁣I think it would be GREAT for fairer skin tones who have normal to oily skin.

Pros, mattifying, lightweight non greasy, Leaves skin feeling velvety soft Blends in well and looks nice on the skin Cons Thick consistency Pills so you can’t layer, I don’t use a moisturiser after serum, just this product White cast at first which you really need to work into skin But I’m loving the finish hence why I don’t mind working it in because it’s not shiny

Great Facial Sunscreen

5

Really pleased I found this sunscreen. I have very pale combination skin and find most facial sunscreens melt into my eyes after a while and sting. Wore this for a weeks holiday where we were out and about and active in the sun all day and didn’t have any issues. The formula feels quite sticky to apply but once it’s on you can’t feel it at all. Will definitely be purchasing again.

Good for oily skin

Finally caved in and bought this very hyped product. It is a very dry, thick consistency, which means it doesn't spread and can be quite difficult to rub into your face. I can see how this will cause "white cast" problems for some people, because you kind of have to pat it into the skin, and it is very thick. You will need at least 3-4 pumps to cover your face, so I imagine this small tube won't last long. However, it really does set very quickly completely matte. I have worn this all day and it has helped kept shine under control. I have combination skin. This may be a little drying for normal skin, or drier combination skin. It wears well under makeup. My skin is sensitive, and I have not had any issues with irritation, burning, nor has it stung my eyes, like other suncreams. The thick consistency means you really can't apply this too thinly to get good sun protection, and it stays in place throughout the day, so I think this works particularly well if you are prone to burning or want full SPF50 protection in the Summer, but in the Winter, this is probably overkill for most people given the levels of UV in the UK. I'll probably buy again, but given the price and difficulty of application, I'll probably use something like Etude House on a daily basis, and keep this for intensive, full sun days.

Great sun cream

I suffer from sun allergy and get very blotchy face as soon as the sun comes out. I tried so many sun creams but this one is the best so far. It is non-parfumed and anti-shine which I really like. Can't recommend it highly enough. I can only hope La Roche won't stop making it.

It's really good for oily skin. Wherever it goes, it's dull.

Reliable product

5

For the price, cannot fault it, does the job of protecting against the sun and keeping oily skin under control. It is not the most cosmetically elegant formula, it is a bit sticky and hard to spread when applying it but once it absorbs in the skin everything is well. If you have dark skin it will probably leave a white cast. Fragrance free which is hard to find nowadays! Hard to find these days...

satisfied with purchase

I was looking for something I could wear on top of my non-SPF moisturiser. This turned out being a lightweight sunscreen that doesn't smell like sunscreen, and doesn't make my oily face shine more than it already does. Very wearable, sits very well under my make-up, and quite affordable. Satisfied with the purchase.
