The shade faux was recommended to me being that I am pale/cool toned/low contrast. It actually looks really lovely, subtle but is enough to finish my make up look without clashing with the overall effect. I've not used a MAC lipstick before, it isn't the longest lasting lipstick I've ever used but it lasts long enough to suit my purposes.
