Nice light-hold gel
5Bought on offer - expensive at full price, but a lovely light-hold gel which protects against frizz and clumps and moisturises my hair really well. I need a harder-hold gel on top as well for hold beyond two days.

Very good curl gel
4I have 3A curls for the most part. It has a runny, serum-like consistency. Overall, I really like this product. It is light and controls humidity. It doesn’t dry out my already dry hair. You can get away with not using a leave in conditioner underneath. It has a very salon type of smell, which I don’t mind.

The best gel for curls
5This gel is one of the best on the market. Leaves my wavy/curly, frizzy hair with defined ringlets.

Excellent
5Having lived with curly hair and always looking for the holy grail of frizz fighting I discovered this in the USA many years ago and am fortunate to go there with my job as it’s the one product I walkways go back to.It’s excellent in humidity and damp weather and mixes well with curl creams.So glad I can now buy here.

Light, fresh and lasts
4I use this gel after washing. It’s easy to work through the hair without feeling sticky or too tough. Not crunchy like other products and not greasy at all - very hydrating. My frizz is tamed and there is barely any scent which I like. Seems to suit both smooth styling and also when used to air dry a curly style. Now a staple on my shelf. Would definitely recommend for fine hair - works well with a hair serum or oil underneath too if you like to layer your hydration, hold and anti frizz.

Gives me poofy soft-defined curls with minimal frizz
2I have 3b/3c fine curly hair and I have been trying this product for a while now in different ways. I've seen people complain about the hold not lasting long well...it does say "soft hold". It does exactly what it's suppose to do and is intended for the Summer, hence why it's watery consistency. It gives you poofy soft-defined curls with light hold. It is a look I like because it gives me volume & definition when I do the Denman brush method. If your hair is on the fine side like mines, I'd suggest getting a firmer hold gel for windy days to alternate between the two. I think Ouidad does firm hold gel but it isn't as natural looking as this gel. So it's really up to you. If you want a natural look, go for this. If you want firm hold, then get the strong hold gel.

Disappointing
3Not as impressed with this as I hoped. It doesn't really have much effect so disappointing. I mixed it with the leave in conditioner and got slightly better results but considering the great reviews it left my hair a bit lank and didn't really deal with frizz. I have type 2B hair maybe its better suited to more curly hair.

Disappointing
1The positive feature of this gel is the lack of smell but unfortunately, it stops there, it has no hold, my hair becomes frizzy as soon as it dries, like when there is no products on my hair. It feels like you just put water on your hair.

Ouidad Advanced Climate Control Gel
5I was very pleasantly surprised by this gel. As someone who has coloured and highlighted type 2b / 2c curls , I have tried so many different brands of curls creams and gels. Either they weigh down my fine hair and make it feel greasy or they do nothing for the frizz. This gel is perfect. It’s lightweight, doesn’t leave my hair crunchy or sticky and best of all gets rid of frizz. I won’t be without this one now
