I bought this as I had used and enjoyed Purelogy Sheer Hydrate for my fine hair previously. Unfortunately this duo did nothing for my hair. I was hoping for a great clean and to brighten my blonde but all it seems to do is dull my hair and it got greasy really quickly. I like to try different products but for my fine blonde hair I will return to Kérastase Blond Absolu Bain Lumiere Shampoo

Prefer the hydrate

I use this every so often but doesn’t wash your hair as well and makes your hair more dull ? I prefer the pureology hydrate shampoo and conditioner. Wouldn’t buy this again

Treat with caution

This claims to effectively maintain blonde tones in colour-treated hair by retaining the balance that avoids tones going a bit brassy etc. In my case, I used the shampoo and conditioner once and what it actually did is completely strip all my perfectly toned (non-brassy or ginger) blonde highlights and leave with a dull greyish-brunet colour. It literally took out all the colour and made me go 'stage grey'. And that was one single use. I seriously advise caution with this product. If you need to correct brassy or ginger tones on blonde colour, then I would recommend Colour Wow's Brass Banned for blonde hair which does what it says it is going to do without stripping out your colour completely like the Pureology Blonde does.

Compared to their normal Strength Cure counterpart, these are really disappointing. My hair felt so dry after use, and it was ridiculously frizzy and unruly. Hardly any shine either. As for the toning aspect, they didn’t do a greater job than any drugstore product I’ve used such as Elvive. A high price to pay for a let-down. I’ll stick to the original Strength Cure!!
