Low protection in mildly strong sun.

I’ve been wearing this every day during lockdown for about two months now and so far I’ve been happy with the product. It doesn’t make me greasy or give me acne which is a miracle in itself. However it does smell a bit and if I rub my eye even at the end of the day it will start to sting and remain irritated for quite a while.  Today was its first big test as I went for a walk in the 16 degree C Welsh sunshine. I was smart and wore a baseball cap (thank God) and set off for 2 and a half hours.  Unfortunately this evening my face is looking awfully red and feels suspiciously tight. It appears not to have given me any protection at all and I’d hate to think the damage I’d have caused to my skin if I wasn’t wearing the cap. I wouldn’t suggest this suncream for those that are fair skinned with red hair (like myself) other than an every day suncream to wear throughout the cooler months and when you’re not in direct sunlight.

Amazing

Love this spf, it comes out lovely and thick but feels so nice on your skin and isn't oily or clogging.

Good

Good product does what it says and has a nice light tint. Would probably buy my previous organic mineral sunscreen brand next time but only because the tube is bigger and works out more economical.

Not sure about this

I bought this because I read a review that compared it favourably to the SPF from The Ordinary, and have been using it as part of my routine with The Inkey List. I'm not sure about it to be honest. It's difficult to tell how good an SPF cream is at protecting your skin when you're not exposing yourself to strong sunlight for a long period of time so I can only really comment on skin feel and smell. I find it quite heavy. Normally I prefer thicker consistencies in creams as I have dry skin but it takes a really long time to absorb. It also has a strange, musty smell, which lingers. Together the thick consistency and the smell make my face just feel dirty after I've applied it, which is annoying right after you've washed and refreshed your skin, and applied all the serums and moisturisers. I'm enjoying all the other Inkey List products but not a fan of this. Probably won't repurchase.

Not the best

The cream doesn't smell the best (I checked the box and it's in date) and comes out as a mud-like consistency but once put on turns clear

Love it!

I've been trying to find the perfect facial suncream for ages since the body shop changed the formula of theirs. This is great! It's thick like clay but doesn't break me out or feel heavy on the skin. It's not at all oily or greasy so perfect for everyday wear. As it's thick it doesn't spread that far so you do need a decent amount so I imagine I'll use it up quickly but it's good as you cannot really apply too little. If you apply too much - I've only done this once and I knew as soon as I'd applied that it was too much as it wouldn't rub in properly - then it does pill up. Perfect matte base for makeup, I have dry skin so I do need to moisturise before applying and I use a glowy primer on top if I'm wearing makeup but it does smooth the skin. It's fantastic! The only downside I can see is that I can't see this working for deep skin tones. It has a tint which I imagine might look ashy on anyone darker than medium skin tone.

Mattifying and protecting

I don’t usually leave reviews but I was really surprised at how low this product is rated on this website. I love this SPF. I used it as a last step in my skincare without any product over the top like makeup as it leaves a beautiful matte but not dry finish. Has a slightly clay like texture but I think that’s great. Not oily in the slightest. Makeup goes on very easily over the top too.

Wasn't good for me

Unfortunately it wasn't goo for me and even caused me breakout. It felt pretty heavy on the skin and on my oily skin, it looked really shiny :(

Peeled straight off my skin after applying in lumps

1

As an Inkey fan, I was looking forward to trying this product and assumed it would be high quality similar the the other products I own.  However, as soon as I applied the suncream it clumped up into what looked like lumps of skin and peeled off my face again. I had to re do my foundation because the product kept peeling off all of my face.  Also the tinted element left brown marks on my skin, particularly under my neck that looking like foundation marks because I’m so pale.  Overall, extremely disappointed and will be disposing of my bottle as it’s literally un-usable.

Very good

I am medium skin toned with dry skin. I only use mineral suncreens and this is so far my favorite non-cosmetic one. It is also good under make up.
