4Detoxing without stripping the colour from my hair. I use this about once every 10 days followed by a deep conditioner and it really does remove build up. My hair feels so much better after I have used this. A little goes a long way so even the travel size bottle has lasted many months.

Amazing!
5I seriously cannot recommend this enough. My hair builds up products like hairspray, gels and even certain shampoos that are too heavy for my hair. My hair nearly felt greasy all the time even after washing it because of so much build up. I tried this and it’s amazing! My hair is so shiny after wards and feels so soft and clean. I use it once a week at most, I wouldn’t use it more than that as it is a detox shampoo. But definitely try this, you won’t be disappointed.

Great!
5Love using this product once a week to cleanse my hair. It leave it a slightly strange squeaky clean, but does what it says on the tin and removes excess product build up. I like to use a mask afterwards to rehydrate the ends.

4cleans very well the scalp and the hair. At the end the hair feels a little bit dry but you can fix it by using a mask.

Disappointing
2The reviews made me excited to try this product, I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve tried using it so many different ways (hair soaking wet, towel dried, half and half) I cannot get it to lather up at all. My hair feels cleaner after using it, but I wouldn’t say it feels like a clarifying shampoo.. to get even a slight lather you have to use *a lot* of product. Not worth it for the price point.

Most effective clarifying shampoo
5If you need something a bit gentler than a scalp scrub, this clarifying shampoo is the perfect option. It gets rid of my dry shampoo build-up without being too harsh. Regardless of your hair type, I would recommend only using it once a week and always following up with a hydrating hair masque as otherwise it can be drying. Beautifully scented with Ouai's signature fragrance, the scent lasts for ages on the hair which is a nice bonus.

Prefer the 'thick' Ouai shampoo
3I find the 'thick' Ouai shampoo is more effective at removing build up so purchase that now instead and love it.
