The reviews made me excited to try this product, I wouldn’t recommend. I’ve tried using it so many different ways (hair soaking wet, towel dried, half and half) I cannot get it to lather up at all. My hair feels cleaner after using it, but I wouldn’t say it feels like a clarifying shampoo.. to get even a slight lather you have to use *a lot* of product. Not worth it for the price point.

Most effective clarifying shampoo

If you need something a bit gentler than a scalp scrub, this clarifying shampoo is the perfect option. It gets rid of my dry shampoo build-up without being too harsh. Regardless of your hair type, I would recommend only using it once a week and always following up with a hydrating hair masque as otherwise it can be drying. Beautifully scented with Ouai's signature fragrance, the scent lasts for ages on the hair which is a nice bonus.

I find the 'thick' Ouai shampoo is more effective at removing build up so purchase that now instead and love it.

This is the most gentle but effective clarifying shampoo I have used. I have quite thin hair so need a good cleanse to remove product and oils and this does a great job. I will definitely be purchasing the full size

I have fine, oily hair and use this weekly. It's quite drying so can make dry ends look worse (I double up on the conditioner). Good for removing product build-up.

This is my second bottle and I would 100% recommend this product. A small amount goes along way, I use this once a week just over a peasized amount as i have thick hair and this lasts about 2-3 months. I have thick greasy hair and use this once a week to really deep clean my scalp as i use alot of dry shampoo, i tend to was every 3-4 days as my hair has started to thin naturally from age and stress and i wanted something to salvage it. You can feel the difference before and after using, i wouldn't use it as a stand alone product as it does make my hair feel tacky afterwards so deffo a first shampoo product and then go in with your usual shampoo and conditioner.
